    Yeh it's fiar to say your going to dig more to a degree..... The hobs speed I think is an individual thing same as Jill's you get quick ones and slow uns,,,,one of vins,,called chuckles cos of his continuous chorteling,,,is a quick thing ,,,and his son who I have doesn't hang around

    Thought it was time to put a little post up,,as it's been a while.. Saturday or Sunday sees me heading north for a days bolting with vin ,,,I leave work at 8 am so by the time we have got on the tops it's usually 11 am so not much time as we have to leave by 3 ,,but it's better than nothing... Usual M.O for us ,,a pair of hob ferrets each,,vin has his two dogs and I've got my youngster,,,we split up,,but within view of each other,,about 100 yard or so just to stop the dogs running in on each other's warrens.. My first little warren ,,just a 3 hole affair produced just the one bolt

    I use shavings in the run ,,,,can't for the life of me see why you would use shavings in the sleep area,,,surly they can't make a nest in it,,nothing to bury in to?

    Not used a net once yet this season,,,,,but I did pick one up yesterday walking the dog,,,,a 3 foot bisley special ,,lol Yeh that bank was steep,,,to stand up streight with feet flat,,I had to stand on a spoil heap from a hole ,,in normal years it would have held half a dozen or more rabbits,,,I did think twice about doing it,,but she was marking strong at one hole half way up,,,I popped in the two hobs,,,nothing in the bottom of the warren where one hob was working,,,but the other put two out the hole the bitch was marking,,,both caught in the entrance ,,,the other caught from a hole she
