To be honest at our age (im 17), it is very hard to get any half decent permission. I can suggest start beating and helping out a keeper and hope something comes from that Put the word around too, you might have a mate who knows someone who knows a land owner etc. Another good thing to try is type in "horse livery yards" and your location in on google an it should come up with a big list of them with email addresses. Just knock up a short polite email stating what you want and send it round to as many as you can. Throw any ideas of air rifle permission out the window Unfortunat

Got my first day of the season at a 'local' shoot tommorow, alarm set for 7am to then drive for an hour on my shiity hairdryer (moped ) but its all worth it, good day out topped off by a few quid and a brace. New keeper this year too .......

I like to be able to run my hand down from the ferrets rib cage down to the start of its back legs without my hand going in or out, if you know what I meen. I am very happy with the condition of mine at the moment. See some folk with hugely obese ferrets

Not that I know anything much about trapping, so dont take this as advice. Would one of the 'beefed up' little nippers (big nippers ) made for rats be ok for wood mice?

I got too many ferret boxes Bought one from simon whitehead at the midlands and it is very light and good sized. Only one I am using now.

About 18 weeks I started mine when they were kits.
