  1. Cheers mate, Fingers crossed Come to think of it now it was also blooming windy so I suppose that didnt help the Rabbits bolt? ATB, H&J Edit> Spellings!
  2. Video working now We didnt do great to be honest. The rabbits were just playing run about with the ferts, should be better next time Edit> Didnt see you post there Frank. Yes it was good learning experiance, much more large scale than anything I have done before. H&J
  3. There is feck all wrong with the mark 3 collars. Just put them on tighter. They are wide so they can go on alot tighter then you think.
  4. Went out ferreting today, and done a HUGE hedge row. We werent really kitted out for such a big warren to be honest and only made a fraction of its potential Didnt have enough men, purse nets or ferrets. Still gave it out best go though. When we arrived I looked out down the field at the warren we were going to do and there was a good 20 rabbits out feeding, I thought eyyy oooopp gonna be in for a good bag today One side of the hedge was NT land and the other a horse livery yard. We didnt have any permisson on the horse side so I thought before I started I would go and ask if I can
  5. He is looking good WH, How old is he now?
  6. I personally have been there and tried it, and just dont enjoy it. Obviously some people of the old school (ditch will be along soon lol) think they are completly unnessesary. I know a few folk who work without them, including my dad who had been ferreting for a good 20 years and never lost a ferret, he waited alot though lol and they get along fine without them, fair enough. As I said, I have tried it but just dont find it enjoyable. I dont subscibe to this rubbish about 'anyone who works a ferret without a collar is a cock' as some people say, its their way they can do what they want.
  7. Has anyone ever used it effectivly though? I have tried many times and if squirrels could speak then they would be laughing there bollocks of at me as they didnt pay any attention....
  8. Yes Scuzy he grabs them by the back leg and drags the rabbit to the surface his mother has done the same. All the rabbits appeared to be clear of myxi thank goodness. We were crawling with it down here at the end of summer. Seems to have calmed down alot now though, havent had one in my last 15 rabbits, fingers crossed.
  9. It is quite bad over here Saying that, I do talk to alot of people when I am out ferreting etc and have never met a single one who has slagged me off, most are genuinely interested about it.
  10. No need to get a aplication form sent to you, you can print it off from the met website. I am applying for mine now too
  11. Forgot to add I have also burnt holes inbetween all the standards and a few more so that it can go smaller....
  12. I am pretty tough when it comes to animals, circle of life and all that lol but, I would find it hard to kill a lamb They are just too god dam cute
  13. You would be surprised how tight they can be done up to. they are wider so they can be tightend quite alot without it affecting the ferret. I did change to what richie is doing but used the leather for catapult making so I am back to the normal straps now, and they are fine. Just do it up tighter than you would think, it is fine.
  14. Just feed smaller amounts and let her have a good run around ever day if she lives in a hutch. If she is on dry food, just feed a small bowl a day as apposed to leaving a full bowl in there 24/7. If it is in half decent weight and only abit porky then take it ferreting, thats the best exercise they can get really. If it is completly over weight dont work it, it would be to much to soon. I have had a few fat ferrets and thats all I have done and they are in tip top shape now. Mind you, it isnt an instant thing it will take a good month to get it into decent shape. I like them li

    Bowhunting

Has absolsutly no attraction to me what so ever. As for it being a 'very effective way of pest control' why would it have an advantage over a gun?
  16. Then its allways followed up with a " "
  17. Around 16-18 weeks, you wont get much serious work out of them mind
  18. You can make really nice Rabbit burgers with them too Frank Half an Onion chopped in, some bread crumbs and a few spices....fooking loverly
  19. People in the Bull breeds sections are constantly talking about dog fighting and nothing is said? Whereas if someone talks about that they went out foxing or coursing there posts are often deleted Dog fighting has been banned since 1835, how come people can openly talk about it on a public forum and nothing is done..... Seems abit of a case of 'get you prioritys right..' to me. H&J
  20. Pheasant I can understand, especially if it is going to be stewed. But duck There should be a law made about skinning Ducks lol, It would be such a waste
  21. Sounds like 'Of Mice and Men' Sounds good though
  22. Link please? is this 'Buy it now'? or just the starting bid????
  23. Might be wrong but I think the MK3 ferret finder and the MK3 terrier finder are exactly the same, the only diffence being the length of the collar strap...
  24. Wouldnt a PM be more suitable? And.....I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the mods......its to do with the website you uploaded the picture too.
