  1. Sorry to hear about the jill mate but there isnt anything to worry about with the hob. American pet ferret books and websites will probably say they will die of heartbreak lol in reality he has probably forgot she ever existed lol Good luck with finding a jill, have you looked at the rescues?
  2. That looks good, Where abouts were you? I didnt see anything like that on the day. Just the whole thing was smaller than last year, rip off prices and £11 to get in.
  3. What a load of shite, wont be going again.
  4. 2x Patterdales 1x Jack russel 1x Beddyx
  5. I have had this before with a litter- not nice. Everyday I would go down and se one had got worse and worse and they were getting worse everyday. I would never re home them, until you are certain that they are 100% fine. If its just the breathing then it could be some infection but if one looks squashed then it suggests they are pretty deformed. I culled the litter as it was clear that they were fecked and in pain. Run your finger down there spines, are they bent? Do what you think is right but I wouldnt rehome as you dont know whats gonna happen to them. Good luck, HJ
  6. My mum wasnt to happy when I was cooking up monster crab in the kitchen......lol
  7. Anyone going? I went last year and thought it was ok but nothing special. Does anyone know if there will be many people there selling purse nets?
  8. John Inman is a relative of mine only distant, I repeat ONLY DISTANT lol My old mans uncle I think or something like that.
  9. Rabbithunter your having ago at JBS nets now but I remember a while back you had you tongue well up his arse, half your posts had recomendations for him and how top quality his stuff was. Even had the link to his website on your signiture if I remember.
  10. I love the dogs as a pure breed but thats as I would keep it.
  11. I do all my ferreting for free and would happily do this for free but if they are offering then who am I to say no lol Thanks for the advice, HJ
  12. Come on someone must know of a good supplier
  13. WTF is wrong with that kits head on the left?!
  14. I have just got the oppertunity of getting payed for ferreting and other methods at a small estate near to me For those who have done payed work before, How much different do you go about it from normal? what sort of prices would be fair and how do you work it out, per Rabbit?per hour? or what? Just looking for general advice about it really as I am quite nervous lol, HJ
  15. Does anyone on here do it throughout the year? Im not looking for advice on why not to I just want to hear opinions from people who have done it ATB, HJ
  16. I dont personally as I do it purely for sport and enjoyment rather than anysort of pest control. Wouldnt have any problems doing it if I had to.
  17. Nice shooting there, but they are much easier to skin when they are warm
  18. Can anyone tell me if most .410 webley bolt actions take 3" carts? or does it depend on the model?
  19. Thanks for the advice, im not going to be using them for ferreting much as I love working my bitch but a few days a season would be nice. I did think a 20bore would be nice, I may look into getting a 20b sbs sometime, I do like the sbs's
  20. Nice catch, is it me or do they look really pasty and pale?
  21. To anyone who has done abit of ferreting over shotguns I am just wondering what you use? I have just got my first shotguns a 12 bore luigi franchi o/u and a £30 bolt action .410...cheap but fun lol. I am picking the .410 up next week so long as the dealer is happy it is sound to go. So what do you use for ferreting? And what gun would you rather use out of the .410 and the 12? ATB, HJ

No one can touch Ronnie whens he is on form, Looks like he will win it again to me.
  23. Cant see any reason not to myself...Dogs go ratting and tear them to bits getting rat shit and god knows what else in there mouth, if that dosent do them any harm then a few crows wont. But feeding it to them everyday? They dont eat rats everyday do they. I can see what nutritional value the dogs would get from Crow meat, sure theres plenty of Iron in it but I cant imagine them getting the vitamins and minerals they need to keep fit and healthy. I dont see what makes crows so bad, what do they carry? I wouldnt fancy eating it but wouldnt say no if it was served up in frount of me l
