  1. I see them all the time at work, both green and greater spotted. I regulally see the greater spotted only a few metres away, they come and eat from a bird feeder a couple of metres from the window.
  2. I am on about the JSB's, dont know about anyone else The JSB's IMO are a complete waste of time and money.
  3. Does anyone know where I can get some good quality 4foot 6z nylon nets from? I would normally go strait for ebay but after seeing the state of some nets a mate bought of there I would rather buy of someone who has been vouched for. Cheers, H&J Bumped as I still need some
  4. Mate..... its a tick, dont waste your cash at the vets. Just spray on some bob martins (thick thats his name!?) or cover it in vaseline and it will go.
  5. Predators are a rip off and un accurate. AA Field.
  6. Nope nothing in them, I will leave it until summer I think.
  7. Lol no I did ask but they werent interested. I say it was a nice way to end the season but I have been invited out again in 2 weeks, never mind
  8. Finally got on some ground that actually held a few rabbits yesterday. Started the day at 7:30 on a huge mound of earth, surprisingly which we only got 2 out of. Moved on to a large bankment, probably about half a mile long. Took from 9am to 4pm to do it all. Only one dig all day which was a bonus Was a great way to end the season, Not that its about the numbers, but it was a PB for me Picture edited H&J
  9. Great idea. I will do that as well. Thanks for the tips Its a great looks court you have there, bet that set you back a few quid! That ferret is one lucky fecker, better conditions than my house He just needs a mate now? Atb, H&J
  10. You probs would find it easier if you pin some thin plywood to the inside of the door frame, so when you open the door they cannot run out, but you can step over it.
  11. lol I wont be hitting ferrets, as It will be more than likely my ferrets working! I just need to find a farmer crazy enough to let a 17 year old on his land with a shotgun.
  12. Well I had my talk today with the firearms officer bloke and all went well and he said it will be in the post and should arrive in the next 10 days I wont be able to use it that often, mainly will be clay pigeons and beaters and walkthough days and the odd ferreting invite. It was alot more easy than I thought. He was only here for about half hour. H&J
  13. That looks a fecking nightmare The warrens in them slideshows look like a dream to work!
  14. I wish I could only do a warren a season. I have to work the same warrens week in week out. I have ferreted the same warren 2 days in a row and caught both times. Not recomended though.
  15. That particular warren I have only dug the once, and it was 4ft. I would think it goes deeper though. There is a sandy warren near by that field that I have had locations of 8 foot and more Feck that I will wait! I do have a couple of bits of ground that there are open burys but most I do are hedge rows. Infact the sandy warrens that you see in the pics are linked up to a real thick hedgerow with hundreds and hundreds of holes in it. My favorite type of ferreting is in woodland, dont know what it is about it but I love it. Get some pics up of your season if you have any
  16. Thats a mate, hes abit of a town dweller but hes being converted, slowly Cheers for the comments, I have enjoyed this season. Only small bags but it has been good.

  20. No it isnt. Gypsys whippet?! Love to see a whippet with a 50 inch chest Im more like a bull mastiff
  21. Couldnt collect them today either I will set them higher next time. They are set on a weir and tied on right by the normal water level, my mistake. I normally leave them 3 days or so until I check them.
  22. Couldnt collect the traps today, the river was to high. Hopefully tommorow.
