  1. I went to merrest wood last year to do FD countryside which I found ok. Glad I done it but I doubt I would do it again. It will be hard work for you going strait into the ND as there is alot of things to know, also alot of the other students will have done the first diploma and gained knoledge. Get revising on your tree species and latin names, it wil give you a good head start. atb, HJ
  2. Looks a well made carry box but what happens if its raining lol?
  3. HERE Have a look at that mate. I can highly recomend it. I have both the spade in the link and a bulldog rabbiting spade. The heads on them are more or less indentical in shape, the one in the link has a 'D' handle whereas the bulldog has a 'T' personally I much prefer the 'D' alot more comfortable I find. It also has a stainless steel head which doesnt get as clogged up with soil as the bulldog. Like I said I have both and they are both good but IMO your getting a spade that is as good if not better for less cash with the one in the link. ATB, HJ
  4. Does anyone know where I can get them? Cant seem to find any. Any help would be appreciated, HJ
  5. This is just dumb lol, all we can see is a black thing. It could be a cat. It could be a black man having a kip on the road. It could be anything!!!!
  6. Wow a black smudge lol. It could be anything, a black dog, old bin bag who knows but I cant see how its a black cat?
  7. So the hens wont lay if there isnt a cock bird? Do you keep your quails outside all year round? Sorry for the question sjust trying to work out whether it is possible for me to get some.

  11. Hi does anyone know if quail and chickens could be kept together? I am getting chickens soon and just got the idea of some quails. Maybe I should walk before I can run but thats not how I operate lol If anyone has any info on quail it would be useful, how many eggs would you expect? do they only lay in the warmer months? How hard are they do keep in general? Hope you can help, HJ

Mine sleep in their ferret box that they go ferreting in etc. I keep my ferrets in a 6x4 shed with an attached run and just put the box a corner with the lid open, workes well and gets them comfortable with going in it. Have to say I like the handging basket, one will be going up in their court soon, great thinking. Thanks. HJ
  17. I think 6z is perfect, only tangle if you cant use them
  18. he sure can ! :shout: compared to just using WD40 & elbow grease, this made it much easier, got another 2 SAKS i have to do... think i might just leave them in the CILLIT BANG for an hour & see how easier it is... What with all this advertising for Cilit Bang, your not Barry Scott are you?

  20. When it nips you gently push your finger into ithe back of its mouth, it will open its mouth and let go. Keep offering up your fingers and repeat the process until it gets the idea, works well for me. Infact its the only way that I have found works really.
  21. Luckily enough I have never had anything like this happen, I see loads of people when ferreting, I normally say hello or morning etc the odd person ignores me but most are curious what I am doing and seem pretty genuine. Get the funny looks walking though my village with rabbits though lol. I hope it never happens to me as I'm pretty short tempered and would end up doing something I would regret lol
  22. HB Export, Fosters and John Smiths are top 3. I think Carling is fecking vile
