  1. I have my chat with a firearms man on tues! Hopefully will be ok.
  2. I often hear of these huge digs to ferrets, Its funny how you never see pictures of them! Just one of those things I suppose H&J
  3. I am in Surrey mate, not to far from Horsham. They are in most places, so there shouldnt be much of a problem finding them. If they are there, then where shouldnt be any problem catching them. Good luck with it Not far from me at all! Horsham is about 15 mins away. Good to know im in the right area, just a quick question, is it just rivers and streams or is it worth trying ponds and lakes too? Cheers Well they are in lakes, some lakes in massive numbers. I have never ate any from a lake though, whether they would taste as good I dont know? They might be abit muddy I expect

  5. I love both summer and winter. Winter is for ferreting etc Summer I do alot of fishing. I love my fishing just as much as hunting so I am sorted year round
  6. Generally you will catch more in summer as they are alot more active then. The fishery I work for have traps all year round and they catch throughout the year. So I thought why not? AI will let you know how I get on when I pick them up on saturday
  7. Type in 'crayfish pots' in ebay. There isnt really anything to it, just fill the bait pouch with catfood, kippers anything smelly really and lob it in the river (holding onto the cord ) then just tie it off onto a root or peg or something. Leave it a few days then collect. No real way of knowing, if there are people who are fishing on the stretch then as them, as they are bound to know . If you go up at night with a torch you can often see them in the shallows.
  8. Set 2 pots yesterday afternoon on a stretch of river a couple of miles from my house. I have had some good bags of crays from this part of river, even though it is to close to the estate house for my liking. Anyone else catch them? They are good eating, I am not mad keen on them but if they are on your doorstep then its a waste to leave em in the river! It is good having them set though the summer as it is something to do when when walking the dogs. And.........Obviously I am fully EA licenced H&J Edited to add pic A hour out last summer with a handline:
  9. Personally mate, I would get rid of the games, just makes it seem abit tacky. No offence! also Use capital leters on the start of words on the forum titles. Just little things like that make the place look more classy. Join a few fishing forums and stick it in your signiture, maybe try to get a few folk to write some articles for you. Just little things that make a first impression
  10. Does anyone brew there own ale? I wouldnt mind giving it ago, how hard is it? And is it hard to get a decent tasting beer after? H&J
  11. I aim to get out 2 more times and then I am getting the rods out. Had young bolt last week, that was the first all season. Im down south.
  12. You should have boned the tail when it was on the fox mate, its a hell of alot easier. When on the fox all you do is cut round the skin and take 2 sticks and grip the base of the tail inbetween the sticksand pull, it comes of a treat. Try it on the next one. Maybe try securing a small part of the boney bit sticking out the base of the tail in a vice or something and try it with the sticks. H&J
  13. Look at tesco 6x4 sheds, thats what I have for mine and its excellent.
  14. I feed as normal, Just feed the night before. I find when I feed them in morning, they dont seem quite as keen. They also shit all over the carry box lol. A ferret with a full stomach is surely going to tire alot quicker than one with a normal load inside them. As they will use energy digesting it and also weigh more. Just a thought..??.. So personally, I think if you want to get the best out of your ferret them feed the night before. H&J
  15. Who is that fat fella, I recognise him from somewhere!?
  16. So if you sweat then you are unfit? Again another classic post by willrenny. I generally stalk them, but have done abit in makeshift hides made from wooden crates and camo netting but dosent really do much for me, get bored. Mind you Im not into shooting rabbits at all to be honest.
  17. Sounds good mate, think I will give this ago in a couple of months.
  18. If you can grab abit more space then 6x4 sheds make great courts.
  19. Learn? You are clearly mentally incapable of it.... All you seem to do is make stupid comments on about every fecking thread going. You just have to look at the amount of posts, 35 posts today! Double the amount of anyone else! Quantity and quality dont go hand in hand Its the constant drivel that members like you post, that drive the good ones away H&J
  20. What type of glue would you recomend? How would clingfilm work? surely something that absorbed blood would be better?
