    Max, are you saying NUFC are telling lies when they say on their official site that all tickets for the Sunderland game were sold out ? Why on earth would they not want to sell all the tickets ? You sound dafter and dafter as the thread goes on.

    IF they were empty, and that's a big IF, then Sunderland must have limited the allocation, because the allocation was sold out. Even if there was "100s" of empty seats in the away end, what about the 1000 in the home sections ? There wasn't 1500 empty seats in the away end, that's certain. Sunderland didn't sell out for their biggest fixture of the season....that's one fact you can't twist or dispute. No one is saying Sunderland isn't well supported, but not in the way you think.

    Max, you like posting what you think are "facts" , but when the REAL facts are posted you don't believe them ! I'm still not sure if you are just having a wind up, but if you are, it makes you look pretty silly. Are you REALY saying that Newcastle supporter bought tickets for the game, and then said "ahh, f**k it, we will get beat so we won't bother going" ? Sunderland have never filled their ground, except maybe once or twice, for a football game, so how can they have "massive" support? They are well supported, but not in the way you think !

    Max, where do you get your facts from ? Newcastle sold out there allocation, and fans were warned not to buy tickets in the SUNDERLAND SUPPORTERS SECTIONS, which were still available. I can post proof that Newcastle sold out their allocation, when I get to a PC, but it would be pointless, you only believe what you want to believe.

    They get decent crowds, but there was still almost 1500 empty seats at their biggest game of the season. The only time they've ever filled the stadium is for a Take That concert ! So much for the best supporters in the land.

    The Greens also want to ban cars..... Fairly insane, but about 6% of the population are going to vote for them ! They'll probably have at least one or two MPs, who will be making laws that affect the rest of us.....with the Marxist Labour Party possibly forming a government in coalition with the socialist SNP, backed by maniacs from the Greens and Plaid Cymru, we should be afraid....very afraid.

    We are being conned..... 300,000 is the NET immigration figure! The difference between people coming into the country and the numbers leaving. The actual GROSS number of immigrants to come in last year was almost 600,000 !

    Evidently it was funded by the EU. The propaganda will get worse in the run up to the general election. The EU desperately needs the billions we put into it, more so if Greece defaults on its debts. They cannot afford for us to leave.

    There's a bit of a difference though, BB, a top four teams "B" squad would probably be top six or seven, where as a team struggling in a relegation fight have a paper thin squad and their 1st team aren't exactly the best. What I'm trying to say, is a top four team can put out a cup team that are still top class players. A struggling team can't afford to, as you say. What annoys me is mid table teams like Newcastle putting out weakened teams, when the cups are their only realistic chance of success.
