The upshot is.. always feed your dogs the freshest possible meat available.. clean all eating ..drinking bowls daily and never forget to wash your hands after handlin raw meat.. the chances are you will never suffer ill effects but its allways better to be safe than sorry ..atb stabba
Best thing you can do Salty mate is go oput and try it... or just wait for next harvest.. id be intrested to know how the dog gets on. The last one i saw was a 3/4 bred in the early 90,s and it was a head case ...atb stabba

Lots of road work (about 4 miles a day)a fair bit of free runnin/hunting (when its cooled down) and lamp maybe once a week to stop em gettin rusty or whenever we get called out. atb stabba
In all fairness mate its the same around here.. this is why i started this thread.. mainly for the lads who dont have access to livestock.. and cant drive.. im lucky coz i have a vehicle and can introduce mine to all manner of livestock.. the point is... what of the lads who cant?? atb stabba
Did you give em a damn good thrashing?? Under no circumstances is it acceptable for any dog of yours to bite you.. and by the looks of it they had more than 1 bite at the cherry.. atb stabba.... get well soon
Road walking keeps the nails down.. toughens the feet. and is also good to get a dog/puppy associated with fast flowing traffic... but it cannot beat the good old hunting/free running technique ... atb stabba
