  1. I know two from my own (half) sister, she got rid of a jack russel after leaving it in a car and it ripped up a library book. She then replaced it with what I think was an irish terrier, which chased the cat away so she got rid of it too. Never did like the daft cow...still bothers me how anyone can be surprised a dog will chase a cat
  2. another grumpy comment by me, but I don't think any of the royal family deserve anything. Being given everything (sometimes literally) on a silver platter because you were born in the right family is the definition of fascism. Why complain about immigrants being given unfair priority whilst backing the biggest symbol to everything our grandparents died to prevent. edit to add, yes they bring in tourism money that pays for themselves. But I think that could be tripled or more if they opened the gates to all of the palaces and land to the public, millions flood in just to look at them from l
  3. crazy isn't it, I try to see things from other peoples point of view when I can, but putting a price on my own dog would be like putting a price on my left ball. There are rescue shelters that would do their best to get the right home for a dog needing one, but they wouldn't get paid. Some people think it is soft to see a dog as part of the family instead of being a tool, these are the people I think are missing out on some of the best parts of hunting.
  4. Yes, there will be exceptions. There will be ones who know what they are doing, control their dog and don’t let it possess over their child (I cringe when people tell you with pride how their dog guards the baby) etc. If the dog shows a bad sign they will accept they made a mistake somewhere and ask for help, get a professional in and maybe build a kennel and keep them separate until the kid grows up. But the ‘new baby’ line is thrown about like it is a 100% legitimate reason to scrap a family pet, citing the reasons you just said ‘my kids come first’. I am not being daft, I know kids will tak
  5. Is anyone else trully sick of hearing this bollocks. People who have a baby, so decide to get rid of the dogs they got knowing full bloody well they wanted kids one day. It just seems these people should never own a dog, or learn how to manage children and dogs at the same time (which is the minimum requirement to having either). But they seem to think it is acceptable to get a puppy in place of a baby knowing damn well dogs live 10-15 years, then using the new baby line. If you are a good dog owner and parent, why should there be a problem? If there is any doubt, don't get a dog it is rea
  6. The problem is that we have to be better than them to maintain the moral highground. I believe our culture is more civilised, I believe the majority of the muslim world are crazy, immoral c**ts who would commit any crime if they thought it would buy them in to heaven. But if we start acting like them then we have already lost, or we have no reason to fight anymore at least. The general public can't understand the psychology of warfare, it is hardly big news a soldier stops seeing the enemy as human as some need that mentality to pull the trigger.
  7. why do people think she is lucky? looks bloody unlucky to me, what are the odds?
  8. I wouldn't say it was unsporting but I see your point it did seem contrived, or artificial to have such a crowd waiting for the right moment to flush. They certainly aren't getting the best out of their eagles hunting like that on flat land, so it would take a very fit eagle to fly down many 'fairer' flights resulting in a pissed off eagle lacking confidence. So you need to let the eagle know it can win, or it won't try or give up too easily. I prefer the gutsy little male goss's having a go at hare, but I think there is quite a lot of dick measuring going on with crowds like that as you c
  9. My advice would be to stop worrying about what you want to be. If you get a job you don't like, you can always get another but the experience you earn will mean you will get a better chance of being hired. Just don’t be one of those people who whinge they can’t get a job, when what they really mean is they haven’t been accepted for their ideal job without earning the experience. I worked lots of shit jobs, but I still don’t have my dream job of running my own dog training/rehabilitation centre because I need a lot of experience and cash to get it going. I have chosen to try and make money
  10. I have an older model of this http://www.marin.co.uk/2012/bikepage.php?ModNo=12PT. I think I paid about £800...can't really remember but it is a great bike and I don't think I will ever be good enough to need anything better.
  11. I didn't know this was common, I have had it happen but thought it was a fluke because I tried to do it again and failed But I am not very good at it
  12. you an anti ? 1. using the word bloodsports ... ffs you sound like a 's tree hugger . try field sports 2. is it any wonder how sport is f****d when so called hunters cant even stand up for anothers guys sport 3. we lost our traditional past time of fox hunting and its talk like that is helping to lose theres. nice one yep im a anti, blonde dreadlocks and i dont wash ..... div how has bull running got anything todo with hunting? go put another shrimp on the barbie I agree with you, bull fighting isn't hunting. It is only classed as hunting when the quarry has a spor
  13. I never had any sympathy for homeless people, except for the runaway kids. However, I was made homeless myself due to a break up and not having the savings for a deposit to rent another house. I was very lucky that I still had a job and my mate let me stay on his canal boat whilst they weren't using it until I found my feet again (which I did in about 4 months). I was working though so I could have slept in a car or something for a while, I am sure I would have found a way. But what if I had lost my job, never had a car...I could have ended up in a hostel and started drinking to cope and then
  14. I suppose so few people want to be a copper they will take anyone, didn't they reduce the pass rate on the exam not long ago too? To 50%...
  15. lol we will see, if I just get three points then I will have to try again at 100mph
  16. result, I found this and hope it is true "up to 79mph you should be just told off, 79-95mph is a fixed penalty and 96mph+ is a mandatory summons to appear in court." But I suppose they might still decide to take me to court, but I doubt it. Thanks for the advice so far, I will let you know what happens.
  17. How hefty do you think a 'hefty fine' would be? What happens if you just can't pay it? I hope I get offered the speed safety course or will just take the £60 and 3 points. I honestly don't think going over 70mph is dangerous at all, I was driving on a four empty lanes of motorway and if you are living in the real world you wouldn't be doing less than 85mph in the outside lane (you will make a queue if you do). But I don't see how this is a safety problem, I wasn't tired or even sniffed a drink so cruising at 90mph where the only person who would get hurt in a crash is myself doesn't seem
  18. I got a great New Year’s present waiting for me when I got back after Xmas, a letter saying I was clocked at 93mph on Xmas Eve and I should expect another letter letting me know if I need to attend court. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I could expect? I have a clean license (at the moment) so hopefully that means it will be more lenient, but is it possible to get a ban for doing less than 100mph? Or is there anything I can do to try and get the lowest fine, because I really can’t risk a big fine or a ban I would be homeless and generally f****d. It was a camera btw I t
  19. I personally think it is daft, but I am a hypocrite. I hit a hen pheasant going very slow (about 25mph) and stopped to pick it up. It was as limp as a boned fish but I touched its eye and it blinked! So I took it home and checked it for broken wings etc before letting it recover in a chicken run. Then I popped it in the shed in a falconry carry-box with the door open. After a few hours I checked on it and the silly bugger had laid an egg! So I left it be and a few mins later saw it run down the garden path. The funny thing is that it hung about the garden after that, got joined by a cock p
  20. collie/whip/bull/grey/beddy I would guess grey/collie/whippet/bull in that order (of %), if it has other breeds I would take a stab at maybe ACD?
  21. Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy paranoia, but sorry should have pmed I suppose, didn't intend it as serious as it was taken I was just speculating really. Not sure anyone can vouch for me not being a homosexual, I have dug a few holes that are tricky to fill! Should never have taken those photos...
  22. lol meant no offense, like I said I just got a weird feeling for some reason no need to get offensive it's nothing serious. I think it is just because you make it pretty obvious what dogs you have and what they are used for, which most people wouldn't do. You can usually guess who is into it by the language they use, but you normally have to read between the lines a bit so I just get a bit suspicious with stuff like that
  23. I don't know why, but you give me the impression you are an anti. Sorry if you are not, but the only posts I see you make are about getting photos of dogs with foxes or about PBT. Like I said I can't really explain it, but it would be great if someone could vouch for you . I just get a weird feeling, does anyone else get that? (paranoia doooo doooo do do youoooooooo) But anyway just do a search on any classified site, you can buy any banned breed the enforcement is a joke. You can make a law to stop people breathing it doesn't mean it is possible to enforce.
  24. It's funny when people shout about statistics, but when put in to context are just ridiculous. Compare dog attacks to the number of people of people who get hurt whilst pissed, and the amount they cost the NHS and suddenly it seems daft
