  1. If that happened in the UK I bet there wouldnt be any foreign aid to help us. Why do we always have to help and cost us millions , money better spent at home.
  2. Aye mate getting more into rabbit shooting again as not many foxes to go at. Must say thoroughly enjoying this summer evening rabbit stalking, very enjoyable ? Keeps the dog fed too ?
  3. Good to get the younguns involved ? Just been out for a rabbit mission myself in the beautiful Dale's ? The countryside is very interesting with loads of ruined buildings , a pair of little owls came out of here. Anyway ended up with 25 as shot a few more after pic was taken.
  4. Just playing with ya mate , had many a rabbit snared that way too ?
  5. Agree, hes the only man that dare speak up and take action.
  6. A very efficient part of a keepers armoury as you say working 24/7 if you have the time to check them daily . Well done on the catch but try harder next time and catch him round the neck lol ????
  7. Yep that was a National Trust property that I dont control anymore. There arent the numbers anymore on my other spot as I hit them hard , hopefully be a few this season.
  8. Farmer called to say pigeons on the barley , could I have a look. Well on arrival at the gate to the field a squizzer ran along the gate and up the hedge so I quickly grabbed my gun and ran up the hedge and managed to nab him ? Chuffed with that as I haven't had a squirrel in 2 years ... There was no woodies about to speak of so went for a wander in the blistering heat. Managed to bag 5 species for 5 shots so well satisfied with that ?
  9. Defo the best calibre when shooting numbers of bunnies ?
  10. I love my ..22lr I think it is so versatile being able to shoot anything from rats to foxes ?
  11. Very kind of you. Put my name in the hat. Thanks ?
  12. I watched it before and was not impressed by the Digex at all , looked carp to me.
  13. Trouble now is no one dare stand up to them anymore , even the police wont get involved.
  14. Must be heaving with hares your way , you must get plagued all the time. We have nowhere near those numbers.
  15. I'm the same , I have one but it doesnt go out much and its .22lr for rabbits and .243 for fox. Dont really know why I bought it ?
  16. Well done Bump , had a quick call up the shoot last night and no foxes seen .Poachers out lamping though from the road . 3 caravans of vermin landed out the back of the shoot and 1 farmer has already approached them for coursing ( August for christ sake ) and got threatened. Looks like I will have to try and thin the hares out so they go elsewhere ?
  17. I am the opposite would love a keepers job as I realise it's not a job but a way of life. Sure it has its pressures and long hours but better than being stuck indoors with an office full of tossers .
  18. How very true happens all the time but also the reverse , if you get one in 1st field it sometimes continues so that you have a great night mopping up a few , you just never know.
  19. Same here mate , I would much rather walk than stand . I like to rake about and see what I can find especially having the pup to start this season. Not be long and season will have started ?
  20. I'm sure they appreciate all your hard work really ? looking good . We were up the shoot this morning filling up some feeders and taking delivery of 100 ducks , they looked nice and healthy. We took 200 pheasant poults last weekend and glad to say only found 1 dead so far which jammed itself into some wire , so going well too.
