  1. Glad you caught up with "famous" . ? I've just been out for a couple of hours local , there is only 1 fox on this ground and it's very shy. Saw nothing until I got back to the car and there it was sitting on the bank , no chance of a shot and it was gone. ?
  2. Forecast up North mate for the weekend is sunny and no frosts.
  3. What a beautiful sunrise ? Shame foxy didn't show himself but will be all the more satisfying when you catch up with him.
  4. Out tonight at my mates shoot as he saw a fox yesterday afternoon whilst feeding up. The weather has been awful all day but was going anyway and on arrival at 7pm the weather was ok. Started calling using the mating calls with no response so after 25 minutes changed to hare distress and had a fox coming in lovely straight away , came nice and steady to around 100 yards . A dog fox was grassed ? Carried on calling for another couple of hours but nothing else showed but we had achieved the desired result.
  5. Looks good deer ground behind the gate ?
  6. Good result considering the conditions ? I too hate the wind , cant hear the caller and often Charlie catches your wind. Saying that I'm off out tonight to my mates shoot as he saw a fox yesterday , weather wet and windy but sick of being in the house.
  7. Too right , I think its rude and ignorant....I call it Stevie Wonder time ???? I've found though that these people never change.
  8. If it's one thing I hate its lateness that's why I'm glad I go out on my own mostly now. Used to get sick of picking people up only for them not to be ready ? Christ I am always really early for everything, too early actually. Sick of all this crap weather , foggy again? as have got a rabbit Job to do on a new permission.
  9. So sorry to hear that mate , I'm nearly in tears myself reading this. I cant imagine your pain , my daughter is 23 and I don't know how I would cope if it was me.
  10. Since September. They weren't leaving them lying about either which I expected, there was a wooden box on the front and the back of the quad which was full of rabbits.
  11. Sick of sitting in so popped up the farm to do some bunny bashing . Decided to do the ground which runs up to the grouse moor as haven't done it yet as on the lower ground they are getting sparse and jumpy. On the hike up the hill I could hear lots of shots going off and deduced it was the keepers shooting rabbits with shotguns. Anyway the rabbits up the there were very jumpy , no wonder with quads flying about and shots going off all over , it was like the Alamo. I eventually bumped into one of the young keepers who came to see who I was , had a bit craic with him and it turns out there wer
  12. That's the problem though a lot of guys go shooting and dont even know the general licence exists.
