  2. Great images matie, not got a photo of a grey, only got pics of reds..there are a few greys but few and far between, at the moment
  3. Ive got photos of nearly everything Ive ever done matie, but have to be honest here, I aint got a picture of these..I bred some canary bullies using the same breed of canaries, as one nest through a cinimon hen, I put that back to a cinimon Norwich, produced a cinimon cock and put it to a bullie hen, Ive got footage of these mating, had it on a bird site, will see if I can find it, he used to ride the arse off her every day..
  4. Ive heard stories about lads doing it around here too..cant believe it still goes on in this day and age though, ha, ha, ha, ho, ho, ho
  5. Lovliest Ive bred were from cross bred red factor/Norwich..
  6. Yes, I bred quite a few many years ago when Glousters were proper canaries, had great type and reared their own young as good as any Fife or Irish fancy now. Got my first ever verigated goldie mules from these canaries..poor overall colour though, too many buffs
  7. Yeah always been my favourite, Ive bred and reared more of these than I have pure bullies, and I bred more goldie/bullies in cages than I have flights
  8. Ive only got a small front garden, but a decent sized back yard, me and the wife keep a log of birds that have visited the yard, and we are up to 19, and I live in the middle of a town so this is good for me. Recent visitors lately, wren, grey and pied wagtails, plus all the usual..last year a black backed gull dropped in for a chicken carcase I put out for the birds..
  9. Deerhound/greyhound/collie/greyhound.. All the best hare/rabbit dogs where I live were of similar breeding, lurcher x lurcher and most of their records of what they got still hold from as far back as the `s 87 rabbits on one day ferreting, 3 dogs. worked 6 ferrets from early morning to dusk, this is what my bitch Yella got on the day
  10. Got this one with its catch, a little far away but at least you can see its got something..
  11. Hit actross the side of the head with what was like a base ball bat..
  12. Yours is the lesser hairy woodpecker Roxy, ha, ha, ha
  13. Thats one lovely stamp of dog there matie..a boy who got a first cross from me was going to put it to a Bedlington/greyhound first cross, thought it was a cracking idea
  14. Ive rarely had a lurcher that wasnt noted for its speed..but the big bags are taken by dogs once they settled down and ran sensible, they still have the speed,. but know when to use it..pups run gamely and at times as if theyve been fired from a canon, it looks good, pups should be like that..but pups wont kill 40-50 rabbits a night on a regular basis Rather have a one that was too fast than too slow..the fast ones will usually settle down. give thema few daft slips at the beginning of the night, that takes the edge off them a bit..
  15. A few of the dogs we used;; Three together are 3rd generation deerhound lurcher x lurcher, the pup on the left is 4th generation..
