Thanks Gareth..this was the best all round bitch Ive ever owned
her sire was a first cross deerhound/ greyhound, her mother was a lurcher x lurcher with some deerhound and collie in her..
No matie, left them in the `s where they belong
Romany, I am pleased to say that her lugs are only like that when she's alert she uses them well..
This is a bitch I bred in the `s, and like I say, some of my stuff did have lugs like her....only when she was alert, she is 10 years old on this picture..
There are good and not so good all rounders as there are good and not so good coursing dogs, ferreters etc. all rounders of this breeding may suit some people but not others, but there shouldnt be anything stopping them from doing it all to some level
If I knew how to put pics up they'd be up now, absolute crap on p c, even had to ask how to use emoticons in my posts . Going to llandeilo tomorrow so hopefully my son can sort pics out for me when we get back, pus have more up to date pics.
Yes hurry up and get some pics up, love to see them
Great image, and well worth waiting for..thats what I call dedication..
Lay in wait for this guy but had to keep a good distance, pleased there was a fence between us
Cheers matie, the front two are litter sisters, the back two are litter brother and sister, the dog at the back can be seen working on some of the Lurchermania vids, (Axel)Ive had the pleasure of being out working with three of them, all were decent all rounders.
That the way we bred some of them, sorry..
This one was 29 inches, killed rabbits so easy it was laughable, took over 100 roe in one season, minced fox and did quite a few hares in his time..and, threw pups to die for..
Thanks for the comments lads it was great experience and one I;m keen to repeat...To be honest Bill when I got there I was like a kid in a sweetie shop and just kept firing of shots without thinking about what I was trying to capture. My flashcard quickly filled up. After calming myself down I had a proper look around and just spent hours watching these lovely wee birds going about their business....loads of different birds to see, when you off to the Farne Islands?
I was going to say I was like that, but, at times I still am..but now I mainly take a few test shots, and adjust the set
Not quite at her full hight, but is Shaping up well, a Doxhope head for certs, and dont be worried about those lugs, Ive seen them like this before, especially with this way bred, she will grow into them
I had whippets for a large part of my early life, and my father always had whippets, and I can honestly say taking foxes with them would have been the last thing on my mind when we ran them, what the f**k for????
stick to rabbits
I dont doubt for a second that the photo is 2 days old and apologise if I caused any offence, it is a cracking photo of a cock goldie which by any standard is difficult to achieve.
I was just trying to explain the difference between the two photo's with regard to the blaze on the birds for Dotty Doo.
Looking again at the photo it is obvious that the goldie is feeding a hen on the nest because his beak is stained with dandelion juice.
The wording in my post was misleading and I did not intentionally set out to discredit your photo.
I hope you understand where I was coming from
Totall
Yeah, Ive been every year for the last 10 years, sometimes 2-3 times a season, and if it werent for them little sea sick tablets I would be spewing my guts out
