  1. great topic, love these photos. here's mine - 8 weeks 8 months
  2. lovely looking bitch. Always comforting to hear other pain in the arse pups, mine is 7 month has suddenly turned deaf and dumb! although he sounds like the opposite to yours, not nervous in any way, in fact he think he's billy big bollocks and rules the house, hard work, but just like you, he's a pet first, worker second, so looks like i'm stuck with him
  3. Shot at 2012-08-27 Shot at 2012-08-27 Shot at 2012-08-27 took him to his first show yesterday, entered in the puppy class, not even top 3 out of 7, we were robbed
  4. top looking hound mate, great to see the development from the first pics, he looks quite a big lad, how tall tts?
  5. cheers for the advice lads. Casso that makes sense, i'm loath to start being aggressive back to a 4 month old pup, there should always be a way other than a threat of violence i reckon. Casso, i'm gonna try the hand feeding with a bit of dry and small bones&meat then build up to the bigger stuff, hope it works, otherwise i'll be typing with one hand soon I thought about a muzzle Bird, might be an option down the line.
  6. I've switched my 4 month old pup to raw food in the last month and he's been doing great, the usual benefits and is looking in much better condition. He's fine when he's eating mince/sardines/fish from his bowl, but he become extremely aggressive and possessive when i give him a raw meaty bone or chicken carcass. I tend to give him them either in the garden or in his crate (he sleeps indoors). As soon as he gets the bone he's barking& growling, i've no doubt that if i got too close he'd really go for me. On his walk yesterday he found something in the bushes (dead bird i think), and
  7. nice pup mate, bet she'll be rapid!
  8. really sorry to hear that mate, hope you perservere, would be such a shame for knobheads like that to stop you enjoying what you love
  9. Lol, great read that mate, nearly lost at the bit where the dog was asking the rabbit for a dance!
  10. No Westy sadly not yet, i'm ready for some new tunes too, my Black Sabbath records are worn out!
  11. cheers mate, just measured him for the first time in a few weeks and he's 20", just gone 4 months. yeah he's a character alright, very full on, high drive type, although this week he suddenly thinks he's a tough guy, a big rott came to the gate yesterday so Ozzy let out his first proper deep bark/growl, which actually scared himself the moron The big rott just sat there with a confused look on his face ha
  12. Shot at 2012-06-25 Shot at 2012-06-25 Shot at 2012-06-25 few more pics, i'd like to keep this thread going for myself just to see him grow from a mental pup to a sensible, mature dog (in my dreams )
  13. talking of drive etc, my pup is constantly biting/mouthing, tried everything - yelping, ignoring, crating him when he's too excited. The first thing he'll do when you pout hands anywhere near him is get his teeth out, not hard, it's almost like it's affection and his way of interacting. He's only just gone 14 weeks old so appreciate he's very young, but any ideas about a way around this?
  14. feel like i'm at the University of Lurchers here reading all this! Casso, Skycat etc this info is fascinating stuff, thanks for sharing
  15. great words, great pics, great dog! Looks in top condition mate, shows what can be done with patience and committment
  16. great pics. My pup fell in the canal last week and i panicked and was in after him, should have left him to sink or swim!
  17. great pics mate, nce looking hound!
  18. couple more photosof Ozzy, he's taking a real stretch now, he's 18" tts at 13 weeks. I know it's a but of a guessing game but anybody got any idea of a ballpark figure of how tall he'll end up?! He's a handful but getting on well with other dogs and people, very keen on a couple of local miniature ponies, gives them the nutcase stare like in the first pic, i'll need to keep an eye on that cause i reckon he thinks he's tougher than he is already! It's hard holding him back on the exercise, only taking him for a couple of 20 min walks a day which includes a bit of crazy running about, then the
  19. tough looking boy, serious pair of shoulders on him!
