imo you cant go much wrong with accupells, i think they are around the 14-15 grain mark and i use them in both pcp and springer, other than that try a few brands but stick to domed pellets.

Guarentee to get rid of the rabbitson the golf courses i know of as soon as you clear aload others will soon make em selves at home within few months, and why would you get rid of all the rabbits...need to keep yourself in use dont you now.
-
i would try 2-3 first of all, but better still see if you can find bb loads in a fourten then just measure out the weight it states on the website. but if it non tox make sure its not a silly amount of shot, just play it safe and be sensible.

I've only seen them with a biggest shot size of 5 in this country, in american they do rifled slugs in .410 so... other than that (i know some one will have ago but) try getting some than have paper ends and take the shot out and put a few BB shot in their (not too many tho) then poke the paper back. i've done it for a farmer who wanted non toxic shot to shoot the ducks eating his veg patch.

-Dont set nets too near to electric fences that are on! doesnt help with the being quiet. -Always make sure you find a good place to stand and wait and dont step backward into a hole you missed under the leaves, bloody hurts and good job i had the bolt pulled out of my gun. -Oh and if you have a special sign language, make sure everyone knows what each sign means ....you just look like a tit otherwise.

i cant imagine why you couldnt keep guinea fowl and chickens together,if its for a broody hen may i suggest a silky hen apparently they sit nice and tight and pretty good mums.

my ferrets are as dosile as anything, merely used the mustard once or twice and soon got the message, im not taking away from the fact that handling is the best way to climatise ferrets to yourself, its a case of prevention rather than cure. i agree nose flicking would only make things worse and i've seen people's whos ferrets are scared to get picked up, making it time consuming and annoying when they wanted to get the ferret out, they just darted back down when they saw them.

Im in the same boat as you here mate but been doin bit of research, i may not be right but here it goes : the standard is the base modle which has a curved comb and beech stock, the american and varmint both have walnut stocks with a straight comb (looks better in my opinion) however the american has a standard barrel where as the varmint has a heavy barrel. all are factory screw cut so that save a few quid.

ii found what jim says the best when my mouths bit tired of squeeking, just remember wher you left the blasted peice of polysterene and dont put ot down when a bi windy either.
-
i've tried puttin bit of mustard on my hand so when it does bite gets a mouth of the hot stuff but your situation seems bit more serious, it might subside when it gets used to being around you and that your not a thing to be chewing on.

cheers guys im glad you both knew what i was on about with the lil hookie thing.

agree with SS if my baikal is anything to go by after bein buried for 20 years it would still work. those russians dont make "good guns" but they will work adequatly forever, -
i used some plastic coated sticks from homebase think they was 50p each and similar as brought ones

i have a spanish made 3 shot .410 bolt action. and the lil hook like thing that drags the empty cartridges out to be ejected has sheered off or somthing or other. would it be possible to repair this between my uuncle and myself we're pretty handy on the metal work front. i was thinking about making it up out of mild steel then weld or braze it on to what remains of the arm. has anyone done something like this on a rifle or shotgun (im pretty sure it a modified rifle bolt) and any advice. it seems bit of a shame just to not use this as before it was my first gun and knocked bolting rabb

I got a imacculate RWS excalibre, 3-9X50IR deben scope, hills pump and pellets s/h for £320 but that was lucky, had about 200 pellets through it and no marks. if it possible push you budget up and you can get sommit like a new BSA ultra, coz second hand air rifles never come you way when your wanting one.

Its all good stuff, just the price tag tends to put me off a bit. nice set up btw mate, always fancied a HW95 for some reason.

Lil while ago i saw something along this lines, the newbie was given a phesant to prepare and when he cut the crop he saw all the corn presumed they was maggots (how you can do that i dont know) and threw the lot away. Crazy. Hopefully their wont be anyone like that when i finally sign up,

Just a heads up mate about oiling the stock, M&S are doin 250ml of walnut oil for £1.50 and it works a treat on my RWS excalibre and a damn sight cheaper than the bottle i got from the gunshop as well.

do you think that this is real
Sterry replied to peter009988's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
I would never buy a scope off ebay again, brought one off somone sunshines or whatever and took agest o arrive and when it did it was crud : cloudy and the point of aim changed all the time couldnt zero the bugger, was getting a 9" group at 15 yrds. just went out with open sights more accurate and sent it back and lost p+p which was abround £10 not happy. but id prefer to pick a scope up and have a look through and feel it all rather than save few quid, things that seem to good to be true usually are. -
Cheers guys and gals. i'll see if i can have a chat with them. By the way....Maths is really really really really hard, never mind i'll retake it in a few months. Thanks again.

i poposly try to include everyone ( i first started beatin when i was about 4 so i was the low of the as you say). the thing about this situation is that its the beaters treating me like shite the guns are generally ok, i should think i spent well in excess of my days worth in birds and everything and man hours. i dont know how i get them on my side. Im off i've got A-Level maths exam tomorrow first thinf (fun times)

Right first of all your opinions will be well appreiciated no matter what. Right, i've been involved with a shoot for about 4 years and had no problems with beater or guns. but this past year i have been helping the keeper out a fair bit (every weekend in summer working/ feeding, paying for the birds, and cover crops) all i asked in return was 3 days shooting and one or two guests. considering none of the people help the keeper out in anyway or sort. on one of my days i relised a distinct hostility against me from the beaters, and know the day i was meant to have my guests on, all bar
