this is my new dog spice i got her afew months ago after i lost my old bitch to a hit and run the dog was well over weight and in a terrible condition riddled with fleas :realmad: any way after sorting a diet out and sorting the fleas out and plenty of road work she is now coming on great this is a pic of her this shows her catch after a few hours on the lamp she will become a valued member of the team and give me some good sport she retrieves to hand jumps well and is starting to read the lamp what more can i ask roll on the dark nights good hunting all woodga
-
as we have had a few good windy nights we decided to have a few hours out with the lamp after phoning the farmer and letting him know we were around we started at 10 30pm and stayed out till 12 45 am and had a fairly good evening end result 70 nice clean rabbits if i had just been out to kill rabbits of any size we would have had well over the 100 mark roll on september when most of the rabbits will be worth a £ good hunting all woodga

my personal best out of 100 peg wires was 87 i know p&g off this site has had around the same mark but our good friend glenn waters from scotland has had 98 out of 100 on more than one occasion you will always get the odd knocked snare but by using the methods we have now we strive to be perfect :11: :11: good hunting all woodga  LEON IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS PM ME [bANNED TEXT]

hi leon [bANNED TEXT] i know there is nothing more frustrating than getting up early in the morning and finding you have nothing in your snares and quite a few knocked and tripped wires well [bANNED TEXT] i am asuming you are using peg snares so here goes set your snares early to try and get any scent off them rub your hands on some grass or dockleaves or dry soil to remove your smell look at the runs and follow the beats this is where the rabbit puts its feet

hoop snares have an advantage over pegs on light sandy soils where a peg would fail or fresh plough where rabbits are travelling over plough to get to there feeding grounds They are light to cary and quick to set the only difference between peg wires and hoop snares is that most of the rabbits taken in the hoop are dead and to attach your wire all you do is to use the double hitch good hunting all woodga  ps as said before the wire hoop acts as a spring taking all the force of the rabbit strugling and they hold even the biggest rabbits i have even had a large fox
