  1. if you can place your cage and be sure that no one will steal it as its in a secure garden area you dont need to cover the cage at all a squirrels natural greed and curiosity will be enough nearly all squirrels will go into a cage
  2. sheet netting is by far the quickest and easyest method of making purse nets ,select the length you want cut to size and stich your rings onto the net net or make your net two meshes longer and halfhitch the net onto the rings by sliding the ring over the end of the net then pass the rest of the net through the end meshes secure with tape add your bands and a peg your away i would go for the heavy 10z as this makes a good net ,there are some net sellers who sell nets made from sheet netting and the rings are not stiched correctly and in a short while the rings come away iv recently had to do
  3. badgers are a prime carnivore that will supplement its diet on any easy meat source it finds they play havoc with the rabbit snares often pulling all the skin back over the rabbits head and eating the flesh just the same as they do with young lambs iv seen it loads of times before and no doubt will see it again this spring we know of a shooter who lamps them with a rifle from the borders way down into northern england and hands the carcases over to the ministry for testing he is the only person i know who can legally cull them untill the law changes we are forced to leave the smelly feckers
