  1. Time to invest in a WC Ditch!Inan.
  2. No I took a leaf out of your book Skycat and throw in some breast of lamb and chicken carcasses, though I had to pay for the first lot ,now I buy my weekend bacon there ,he gives me them for nothing . PS are you going to the CLA? we have a coach up ,going on the Saturday.
  3. I'm single,I use the homepride sauces quite a bit, chasseur,or red wine are good ,the barbecue one is ok too.Rabbit is ok in mustard sauce ,sweet and sour ,chicken sauce ,curried ,you can do quite a lot with it .I fry the smaller ones ,casserole the old bucks and bake or roast the medium , and full grown does .The only trouble I find is you often need two sauces to cover the meat ,but at under a £1 it's no big deal, any left goes into the juks. You can often get the sauces two for one ,which helps if you are watching your pennies. What you save on the meat ,you can splash out on a bottle of wi
  4. Not trying to be clever but wine is opened prior to serving to allow it t breathe ,and there is a misconception about reds and room temperature ,thats' a little outdated now due to central heating. I wouldnt have an open bottle on a dining room table for three hours the wine could go a little flabby,I would keep it in a cool room or cupboard ,till about a half hour before it is needed. A Burgundy would go well with venison .it allways has for me at any rate.
  5. Mine get about 4 a week [3 dogs],skinned ,gutted and heads and feet off.I freeze them for 3 weeks ,prior to feeding to the juks.I eat t one a week myself .Pugs get the heads ,dogs get the giblets cooked in a gravy .I add a tin or two of pilchards a week, and a couple of eggs some veg,top up with grey hound meal.Works for me.Inan. I bet your dog's are bounceing fit off that diet ''Inan'' You should get yourself on the F-word with Gordon Ramsey mate. Certainly fitter than me ,but then they dont drink 12 pints of real ale every weekend. Its belting down at the moment and they are pacing

Just my clumsy attempt at humour,no offence, good to see a youngster getting into the game ,we need all we can attract to carry it on .

    cowhock

Yep I'd say she is cowhocked allright ,from what you say it doesn t seem to hinder her much, obviously it's not ideal ,but unless you are in to showing you make the best of what youve got don't you?

    cowhock

NO------Cow-hocked is the condition in an animal where the back leg joints of the animal are set incorrectly. This term is used to describe when the back 'knee' on an animal is set inward, resulting in a splayed look in the back legs. This can result in the uneven wearing of paws(hooves)etc, which can end up in permanent lameness, and can prove to be a very serious condition. Permanent lameness usually results in the animal and the animal could not be used in breeding, as this trait would pass on. However, most animals will not have too serious a condition, and will walk with a splayed-leg lo
  11. Same goes for me met them at the Forley ,enjoyed their company and the drink up in the evening ,Ive nothing derogatory to say about either of them.Inan.
  12. he's a friend of my dads, why you ask? he bought a dog a few years back at £1750 at 4-5 months old of a guy called clive or something.anyway i know its a while ago but the dog was bought and taken to ireland when the ban came in with use,he is a big red dog about 6-7 years old now and i was trying to find out about him,,,his breeding ,acheivements if possible.any info would be greatly appreciated. every dog what jimmy ford has owned has always jacked including rudy when snowy run 6 and killed 6 in the forley legends and on the same day the litter brother to snowy, slinky run 8 and ki
  13. These things happen,.. I suppose as a hunting man,.you don't want to make a regular habit of it though. If you take a few terriers and a running dog or two out into the countryside,.it is inevitable that something will occur..Personaly,.I try to avoid 'accidents',.but,.if I am working in the 'set-a-side' for the rabbits,.prior to ferreting or maybe pushing rabbits out of high grass towards a net,..and,.a hare, fox or deer rises,..well,.that is tough luck...If somebody wishes to make a court case out of it,.then so be it,.. INTENT,...that is the word... All the best,..and do go
  14. Think you might get a little lee way if it was a fox, depending on what the witness was prepared to say.Badgers are ,I beilive , unique in English law,in so far as it seems you are guilty until you can prove otherwise.I think intent would have to be proved if it was a fox or deer ,but a pig,the onus is on you .
  15. My respects to you for showing sportsman ship, hopefully you will meet again as time goes by! Good Man ! Inan.
  16. Used it on the Wife once ,she wasn't keen.
  17. You want to knock that out of him sharpish, any sign of agression needs sorted immediately. Belt him & take it away from him. No doubt some Barbara Woodhouse will say otherwise What would you do if someone came and took your car, missus, ferrets, dogs??? Knock f**k outta them, but we're talking about a dog here not a marriage breakdown wow, i bet your dogs respond well to you pal! when i lift my hand, my dogs come in to me, as taught, not cower down! The thing you do to a dog for obidence is grab them by the scruff of the neck and twist, till they yelp and submit!! Not
  18. All the best with them Mate ,they are lovely lookers,I have a dog nearly 7 now out of Lucky he can box fine but hasnt the gob of his Dad.
  19. I dont think Lucky proved to be tremendously successful at stud if you look at his offspring overall,a few really good dogs but not that many, but for those that knock him for what he did on the field,I say name the male dogs who have proven themselves better. He was a top class animal in his prime, and proved it,on January hares with proper slips , a Champion.
  20. John Bromiley had an attractive show dog called Isaac ,you probably remember it Skycat , that was a Norfolk type, and thats what it is now ,imo, a type. The difference between "specialist bred Norfolk and Tumbler lurcher pups " and lurcher to lurcher pups is in the price.Great pics ,is that the dog you had out with R?
  21. Yes ,though it is "Rare",if they do it too often it becomes a "Habit".Seriously no they can't two distinct species. Inan.
  22. Exceptional animal, imo as good a male dog as I have seen.
  23. You often find a marked change in a pup after it makes its first catch ,but as yours is only 5 months it might take awhile .pleased for you ,it feels great when they nail their first one doesn't it?Don't push him ,let him take his time all the best with him.I'm in kent too ,near the QE2 Bridge .
  24. Sorry to hear your news Tomo, a hard decision ,but probably the right one, especially as you say, you were going away ,chin up mate Inan.
  25. Beast was owned by Paul Noon ,his sire was G.Dickinson's Drax ,his dam Paul's old bitch Peggy, very good dog in his day,a nd he had a litter sister Beauty who was at least as good if not better. I,m still trying to work out how a few pictures and post of Salukis evolved into a challenge for a grand between Miles and Markbrick. Miles is a coursing man ,[preban] Mark ,I beleive, mostly a rabbiting man.I dont know either party so have no side to take, but Mark if you have the money to spare ,I'm sure there are a few "boys ",only too willing to accomodate you ,come the winter, why you would wan
