  5. steady on fella, you got me shaking here...lol. think you need to have a word with YOURSELF don't you, was'nt moaning lad, far from it, more a bit of advise. but you crack on tough guy...lol. "look how tough me and my dogs are, we can take illegal quarry, and cus we are so 'ard we put pictures and dates up for ALL to see!"
  6. Not all fighting dogs have cropped ears fella, i'd say it's probably 50/50, some like that "mean" look of a cropped dog, others prefer to keep that natural ear which DOES protect the more important inner workings. like i say cropping a dogs ear does nothing to aide him in it's intended role, but each to his own... Yokel
  7. yeh i thought that croppin the ears would have removed any protection to the inner ear, but if so then why breed a working dog with such small ears? ( if it was intended to do so) and it must of taken a fair bit of breeding to produce a dog with such small ears i don't see where the dog has unduly tiny ears? like i said, they just look like a tight rose ear to me, which is going to be common for a bull cross. why do you think this dog was specifically bred for small ears??? likewise, why are you bothered by it? i'd like to think, being a lurcher, it was bred for it's working ability, no
  8. That dog has not got cropped ears,(just looks like a rose ear to me). neither have i ever seen a dog with cropped ears in this country(APART FROM IMPORTS).Have read it many times, mainly in anti propaganda shite, but yet to see any real evidence of significant numbers. It is totally illegal in this country as others have stated and is purely cosmetic and of no use to a working dog, infact cropping is more of a hinderance as the flap that is cut/cropped off is what protects the inner ear from getting damaged... 9. wwhere's the collar and equipment you used when you dug that brace that proved to all the knockers on here what a good dog you had, or are you holding your hands up that it was a load of shite???
  10. just been told today that the law have put a poster up in the local CHIPPY!!!, asking people to inform them of people coursing/poaching wi hounds...f*****g unreal... Yokel.
  11. like other forms of sport that sit outside of the law involving dogs, this also will continue in one form or another. The participents need to lower the numbers at the meets, a tight ship and tighter lips are required.A couple of fellas walking a hound apiece is gonna draw less attention than some of the big mob handed afairs that have been seen in the past. Personally, i only operate within the law, and would only advise others to do likewise, but as sure as eggs are eggs, there will always be someone to break what the government thinks it has fixed. The dogs will continue to exist for along ti
  12. Good strong healthy looking litter that fella, fair play to you. got some cracking nappers on em... Yokel.
  13. nice stamp of dog that fella, what's his breeding, p.m if you like... Yokel
  14. altho some are running to ground at an early age, 12mths is still young so i would'nt be to worried about it. as others have said, you can't beat a ready working terrier to show a young un the ropes. i'd advise against being over the top in encouraging him to ground willy nilly, as this can get them false marking just to please you, and digging a great hole for f**k all will give the the severe hump. slowly slowly catchy monkey, if it's in the dog it'll come out sooner or later... Yokel
  15. This has happened to me on a couple of occasions over the years, the law states all dogs should be under control at all times whilst in a public place, this pretty much translates as "on the lead". i was out a few years back with a wee little staff i owned at the time who was abit fiesty to say the least, i saw a spaniel running towards me, it's owner was a mile away, anyway, spaniel ran right into the staff and took a severe mauling, fella runs over and starts ranting and raving, un happy with me telling him he should of had his dog on the lead, he decided to involve the law who told him...exa
