working english bull terriers
YOKEL replied to ferret boy charlie's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Both sire and dam had seen minimal work and were quite young (couple of years old) but in fairness, the fella who bred them was looking at producing foundation stock for his "old type bull terriers" and was looking at nailing the "type" first. I was a young green lad when I had this fella. He was what he was. Been some rather fanciful tales told of the "line" he came from over the years, all to be taken with a whole barrel of salt... make you right there fella re: temperament, seen a good few iffy ones. don't get me wrong, i've also been around some a.p.b.t's and the occasional staff that you had to be on your toes around, but you put up with it because they were very good at their job. but when you've just got a great big useless lump that wants to sink it's teeth into everyone it meets then the appropriate action has to be taken... working english bull terriers
YOKEL replied to ferret boy charlie's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
he's a bit younger here but you can get the shape of him. had a nice bit of back on him and he could close his mouth, never reached his full potential as he was as manny as f.uck so was p.t.s. before he reached his second yr. i would say you could have had some fun with him but he was never going to be a world beater... Maaaaan I thought price was off in the ambulance! What a f.ucking pair of shots! Don't think the rest of the undercard has been too shabby. As for streams, I think this one was worthy of the £19.95 from sky. Can't be arsed with buffering.... Yokel

Meant the 1st in London...we was very close in 98, I was walking not far from that banner! Great pic by the way...? Yokel

98 was the second march, 97 was the Hyde park rally. I went to that on a private coach with lord Ivor! T'was a funny old day, ended up in a boozer with a load of fellas from the quantock stag hounds and my mate got propositioned by a dirty old man ?. 98 I dragged my very pregnant missus along. We went down with the Suffolk hunt, a sea of people as far as the eye could see fore and aft. Done no f***ing good tho, the powers that be had already made their minds up. As for 2002, I think I was busy with the bulldogs... Yokel

It was nearly 19yrs ago when I moved to the village where I now, still dwell. I had two or three terriers at the time who saw plenty of work, and after a few weeks chatting (and drinking) with the local keepers down the pub, I managed to secure some permission right on my doorstep, I ended up with everything in the surrounding area, but to start with they threw me a few scraps just to see the cut of my jib so to speak. Anyhoo, I digress. The very first place I was sent a three to four acre pine wood which set next to a bit of grassland of the Same size with a big chalky pit in the middle of it
