The Campsie boy's put in a massive effort for people like us and deserve our support for their future show's Thanks again to Campsie Working Terrier Club and Clachan for the invite and all the best for the future from Neilston Working Dog Association (NWDA) Tom Ps: My "Sporting Useless (Lucas) Terrier got nowhere either Good judging by Jim Monteith though who correctly spotted my dog's got

Jealousy is a terrble thing Polski I think he was trying to knobble my wee dug's chance's on the Sunday but it was good fun winding Joe up Tom
  7. Forgot to add I won a first in the Sporting Lucas Terrier class with my dog "Fred" the only downside was there was very little competition I also forgot to put him in the Champion Terrier Class after him winning his own event on Saturday Tom
  8. Just seen this and I'm really concerned for you shroom? But being serious for a moment, this old style and traditional show is only made possible by the dedication of one individual and that's Fran!! This remarkable lady and I speak most days! and I know the effort she puts in, she was in great physical pain over the weekend and and still smiled and took this show to the dizzy heights of being one of the best there is? This lass works under a great deal of pressure and fights tooth and nail to give the best for the working dog enthusiast's because she is one of them herself!! she is also m
  9. Neilston Working Dog Association (NWDA) have purchased new display boards I've allready got some cracking photo's on them but I need more!! There's still a panel to be filled, if you have good laminated or not photo's of lurchers or terriers in a working situation? Why not bring them along to the Yorkshire Game Fair at Harewood House this weekend and we'll have an HL gallery on the NWDA boards? at our stand Tom
  10. Maybe you should have brought your camera!! seriously though if anyone has got more pictures of lurchers at Neilston please post them! We did have a lad gonna do the photo's of the show but he unfortunately had to pull out due to work commitments!! Tom
  11. As well as the quality gear and service the "Big Fella" (Aaron) provides no-one has mentioned the lads generousity and how willing he is to help out club's and individuals, with their show's etc:! All the best "Big Fella" the praise and plaudits are well deserved Tom
  12. Let me be brutally honest in my opinion the Moira game fair in Ireland is one of the best fairs I've ever attended and I've been there a few times. I can't compare it to any other Irish show co's I've never been to any but! a visit to Moira is money well spent in my opinion As for the Five Nations International Terrier Championship that was conceived by me and was totally my concept but without the massive help from others including "The Great Game Fairs of Ireland" and Albertj's personal contribution and good will the competition just would'nt be going ahead!! There are actually 6 dog
  13. Just a quick note in case Albertj has'nt ammended his post yet!! The qualifier for Harwood house at the Yorkshire Game Fair is the entered terrier class!! I've left the Irish Lads to sort out their own qualifiers and arrange their own stipulations as befits their unique situations!! If Albertj has ammended his post, thank's Albert Tom
  14. I'd suggest what you did was quite legal!! you ended this animals suffering in a humane way and for good reason your method was the quickest and readily at hand! I once dispatched a roe deer with a knife while police were in attendance! a car three in front of me struck a roe buck! the car in front of me was a cop car, The buck was lying in the middle of the road seriously injured holding up traffic. The boy's in blue radioed for a vet and were told one would not be available for at least 30mins-1hour. I told the cop's they could'nt leave the animal in such distrees for that length of time
  15. Your complaining "I'm basically calling you a liar" quote("On your reply you basically called me a liar, we'll sorry to disappoint you but I'm not in the habit of lying as people who know me will tell you.") end quote But then why are you still mis-leading and lying to people again by suggesting I did anything other than the points below? I only did the introductions to SAC's with the NL&RC through a guy called Lee Kidman (at that time I was only a member of the association and not its Development officer) who introduced me to Linda Vaughan, whom I introduced to Ian Clark the SAC'
  16. Absolutely untrue!!! Lurchers and racing both days Tom
  17. Dukie say's "On behalf of the National Lurcher & Racing Club I would like to thank all those who attended our show and made it a really nice show with a good atmosphere which everyone seemed to enjoy. Also thanks must go to the judges on the day who had a very hard task with all the really nice dogs that attended. Our final thank you must go to the man who publicised our show so well both here & on moochershunting and that is Foxgun Tom.We weren't going to advertise on the internet but as it happens we didn't need to as he did it so well for us.It really is a shame that that people ha
  18. Had some cracking photo's so far but could really do with some more Tom
  19. Yes!! if its lurchers on rabbits or terriers ratting or bolting fox's to gun or digging to fox's with the intention of shooting? pre ban photo's speak for themselve's? Remember these photo's on display boards are there to show terriers and lurchers in a positive light Tom
  20. I'm not criticising our American cousin's and their use of the bow and crossbow that's their right and their legislation allow's and more power to them Many american hunters are proficient with a bow and do get clean kill's I was only pointing out that for some in the UK its not recognised as sporting and the use of a bow is illegal in taking quarry Tom
  21. What genuine shot or shooter would use a crossbow against any quarry?? I have a composite crossbow in the loft and never used it on live quarry "its illegal besides being an inefficient way of killing!!" This is the result of some idiot fecking about! and yet folks like us get the blame for this and other incidents like it Tom
