SACS PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2009
Foxgun Tom replied to Ian Clark's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Believe it or not? I'm not bitter!! just a wee bit sad that an organisation that had a lot of potential and loads to offer!! is being used like this (using photo's of chlidren, without the consent of the people involved??) in a totally unprofessional manner and even though it has a management commitee its used as the plaything of one man? who's got it by the balls co's the office is situated in his back garden and its got nowhere else to go?? SACS PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2009
Foxgun Tom replied to Ian Clark's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
I left the organisation last year, Ian Clark was given photographs by me which included images of a lad who was a kid at the time along with my friend who is a falconer!!! These photographs were not intended for pubication anywhere or to be used without my express permission, they were also used out of context?!! and neither Ian Clark or SACs had permission to use them in the promotion of SACs or its magazine, A terse one line statement saying I had left the organisation and that!! I was no longer associated with SACs appeared appeared in an earlier edition of the magazine. and then Ian -

Sophie my old and first ever GSP bitch had to be put to sleep this morning at the age of 14, and I'm devastated!!, to put old Sophie to sleep, is one of the hardest things I've ever done!! I've had to make this decision before in the past, but!! this time I feel as if a big part of me is missing I've lost a good friend and one of the best dogs ever!! Tom

First of all its not my insurance? I have no personal involvement what so ever!! I'm only passing on information I've received! When I use the term hunting with dogs I mean legitimate us of terriers (NWTF code of practice) and and lurchers as well as gundogs within current legialation ie: lurchers for rabbiting and dogs flushing quarry eg:fox's towards guns etc: BASC, The Countryside Alliance and SACs all insure for the legitimate use of dogs in fieldsports, So does the Country card cover!! Any chance of a Moderator pinning this please!! (thank you ) Over the last few months I've been looking at cheaper insurance for us who are involved in fieldsports without getting involved in the policies or politics of BASC, SACs, or the Countryside Alliance or the sh!t that comes with them, this is a no frill deal and the policy is underwritten by Loyds of London I have no connection with the broker except for making enquiries! neither do I make any financial gain, The only person making money is the broker and it does cover hunting with dogs and I'm sure the definition "syndicate" would

Hi Scouse - I can't comment on the others but SACS is the ONLY organisation to give all of our members not only public liability cover for ALL types of country sports but also the £100,000 legal fees insurance in case you get into trouble with police. Misleading people again Ian?? telling folk they've got public liability insurance when it in fact according to your own website Third Party Liability see SAC's website link: http://www.sacs.org.uk/ SACs is also not the only organisation to offer legal fees insurance!! this company http://www.shotgun-store.co.uk/country-cov...r

Foxgun Tom replied to kobidog's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Having had the great pleasure to have met Tom, and enjoyed the pleasure of his company and also his alcoholic concoctions!!!! - I have never met ANYONE committed more to forwarding ALL countryside pursuits without exception not just those enjoyed by some. A straighter guy you could never wish to meet. Wait till he spits out the dummy with your org you'll see how straight and eloquent he really is. yours in anticipation Strange that on my perambulations around the country, I have met so many people who seem to NOT have fallen out with Tom but more so with the two organisations NOBS/ -

I rember he was quite generous for being a weel kent face!!, he bought the first few rounds at the bar I thought to myself this lads allright buying drink for strangers, Then one of his mates said "he must have had a fall and bumped his head? he's usually worse than you porridge wogs! he's a tight fisted git!! Foxgun Tom replied to kobidog's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
I have never been quoted so much in my life but I'm quite happy to endorse and state on this forum that the details above which appeared in another forum therein are factually correct!! To quote an old military saying " I was that soldier and I was there"!!!!!! Unfortunately for SACS and its Director Ian Clark, they can't and won't re-butt my version of events as I'm telling the truth and would be prepared to bring ex members forward to substansiate the true version of events!!! Tom -
If fellow guns will allow me to make a few points clear from my perspective as the former "Development Officer" for "THE SCOTTISH ASSOCIATON FOR COUNTRYSPORTS" (SACS) I have major concerns that NOBS as an organisation and its members may be misled in relation to the insurance cover!! and that its members may be put at risk?? This alliance is more beneficial to SACS than NOBS? If NOBS membership numbers are to be believed? NOBS have a far larger membership than SACS? A member of SACS (Mrs F Booth) contacted office admin last year enquiring about total no: of membership she was informed the tota

We have all heard at sometime, from a vegan or an anti? that they would'nt eat meat or use the by products from animals? How the "feck!!" do they avoid it in this day and age? below is a list of products that are derived from animals that usually end up as some-ones lunch. Can anyone tell me where we scource any alternatives? Most vegans will be using animal by products without even knowing it? and that makes me smile at the hypocrisy of the lifestyle Tom GENERAL MEDICAL & HEALTH CARE PRODUCTS antibodies (immunoglobins) beef insulin bovine collagen - used as injections to

It was you who first used the term "eejit" without knowing the full facts with a view which was only intent in spreading shit and lies!! No apology for saying it was a quad that ran into a child then? Of course you knew it was me? the only Scotsman wearing a kilt riding a bike at EDRD who else would it be?, or was those points left out the story you heard? Tom
-
I'm the so called "eejit" your referring too, as your very much aware? the incident was neither funny or amusing I was pedalling the bike when someone threw an object at the spokes at this stage I was near a kids buggie, when I lost my balance I put my hand out to protect the baby and no damage was done!! The baby's Mother said the baby's fine it got more of a fright when I tried to console it! The down side was!! the baby's father did'nt see the whole event take place and was rightfully angry when he see's me on the ground and the toddler crying! Words were said to me and rightly so!! f

Do Otters Kill Chickens ?
Foxgun Tom replied to dave1372's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I worked on the Isle of Tiree (Inner Hebrides) many years ago!! and was asked more than once by Islanders who were crofters if I would help remove/control otters that were decimating their free range hens. letting the otters go about their business and concentrating on foxes is a wise move the have full protection and its not worth the hassle Tom -
THE ONLY FRICTION IN THIS MARRIAGE WAS THE HUSBAND'S HABIT OF FARTING LOUDLY EVERY MORNING WHEN HE AWOKE. THE NOISE WOULD WAKE HIS WIFE AND THE SMELL WOULD MAKE HER EYES WATER AND MAKE HER GASP FOR AIR. SHE WOULD PLEAD WITH HIM TO STOP RIPPING THEM OFF BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING HER SICK. HE TOLD HER HE COULDN'T STOP IT AND THAT IT WAS PERFECTLY NATURAL. SHE TOLD HIM TO SEE A DOCTOR, AS SHE WAS CONCERNED THAT ONE DAY HE WOULD BLOW HIS GUTS OUT. THE YEARS WENT BY AND HE CONTINUED TO RIP THEM OUT. THEN ONE CHRISTMAS MORNING AS SHE WAS PREPARING THE TURKEY FOR DINNER AND HE WAS

I ran across this and though you'd find it interesting. The best quote I've heard in quite a while: POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD An illegal alien in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. A state wide manhunt ensued. The murderer was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. After he shot at them, SWAT team officers open fired and hit the guy 68 times.

Women showing dogs in working terrier shows!
Foxgun Tom replied to Won every show in england.'s topic in General Talk
My old pointer bitch is 12 years old now and her threepenny bits are a bit saggy after two litters of pups She's determined to go back into the showring after an absence of 7 years, (she thinks she's still got it? as she was a definate looker when younger) Thing is she wants a boob job Can anyone advise me on the cost of silicone for all those teats?? :tongue4: Tom Ps: thinking of getting her liposuction as well!!!!!!!!!!! Pps: show's are for fun! a summer pastime for enjoying the craic, and meeting up with mates you don't see from one end of the year to the next! Ooooop' -
Why are you referring me to the NWTF code of Conduct not every terrierman who keeps and works terriers is a member? as you must be well aware some of the hunting with dogs legislation is different in Scotland as it is from England and Wales, Northern Ireland legislation is different again? Tom Ps: Unfortunately the majority of terriermen I know, have no affiliation with the NWDA or any other club or association? (they see it as more beurocracy) and are'nt interested in the code of conduct even though they we both probably agree they should be!! what can and do you say to them? They're n

I agree with you terrier work got a far better deal than south of the border, and many lurcher clubs were remiss in not getting involved, The problem is in Scotland it must be your intention to shoot your quarry fox etc; and still the majority of terrier men here don't posses and have no interest in firearms whilst still carrying out pest control ( personally wish there was no need for firearms while working with terriers) I would suggest there's less members of the NWTF with firearms than there are with terriers? Over 400.000 put in an effort at the last countryside march (liberty and Livelie
