Need some help lad's and lassie's I'm putting some display boards together for the "NEILSTON WORKING DOG ASSOCIATION" and I'm looking for the donation of photo's and permission to use them of terriers and lurchers in working situation eg: terriers bolting fox's,taking rats and lurchers on rabbits, I'm also interested in pre-ban photo's including traditional methods of fox and badger control! These display boards will of course be used in the positive promotion of working dog's, but!! to describe the modern and legal use of dog's in pest control and sport, I must be able to relate back to h

simple fact!! independance for Scotland is a real possibility after this fiasco of an election! Labour had no mandate to run the the UK because they had less seats than the tories! The tories and lib/dems have no mandate to run Scotland the tories have only one seat here and the lib/dems have less than 1/5th of the seats in Scotland Why then does parties that have no mandate in Scotland be allowed to dictate to the Scots? The rest of the UK would'nt put up with the situation why should we? The Nationalists will jump on this, and use it to their advantage and gain support for a

I'ts not for me as a Scot to have a view wether there should be an independant England that's for the people who regard themselve's as English!! I do however believe in an independant Scotland, We already have a nationalist government in Scotland (SNP), The scottish nationalists who were sitting in the Westminister parliement before the election did and would not vote on matters that concerned England and Wales only (a moral decision) Scottish labour, tory and liberal democrat mp's all voted on English and Welsh only issue's Scottish independance as absolutely nothing to do with a sense of

There we go, eh!! I'm personally responsible rather than the whole club for the lack of a ladies loo. We had over 40/50females at the show and one complaint about the lack of a ladies loo, for which I apologised for profusely! I made it clear that the situation would be totally different in the future! I remember the conversation was with a nice lady who did'nt appear angry or overtly upset, I don't think you were the lady in question as she did'nt give her name as kevin?? and I never seen any transvestites at the show with either a lurcher or terrier? Tom Ps: You said yester

Did I say you were an Idiot? NO!! I said the NL&RC were still "Fecking idiots" You originally said "my i congratulate the NLRC on another great show," not!! "but as i said , i congratulated , the nlrc , on the way they ran there show," Also where did I patronise you? and what are the hidden agenda's? I don't have any concern's about how I conduct myself! and everyone does make mistakes but the NL&RC made the same mistake for over four years despite being made aware of the situation!! What you perceive to be a dig was not intended that way? "I only said you surprised me
-
"Congratulate the NL&RC on another great show!" (don't make me laugh!) obviously you never understood the original post's or what influenced them? They (NL&RC) took the piss out of Scottish terrier men for four years and they inflicted legislation that did'nt apply in Scotland and then caved in under pressure? to allow docked terriers and pup's to be shown but "Feck It!!" that's OK you got a first and second with your Lurcher's You only saw docked pups and terriers because certain people pushed and shoved to make it happen and that's why there was an adverse effect with the la

The only bona-fide actor in the whole film was Colin Welland who appeared in the tv cop series Z cars, the rest of the cast were amatures, some of whom caught the bug and became actors/ over all I think the cast did a good job, considering Tom Yep fair comment.....but after all said and done it was a film !.....nice story, nice scenery, nice subject....but like i say as a film the acting let it down.

Don't give too much inference or weight to my input on the matter I think the reaction of members on this forum and others made the difference Tom Ps: I still think the NL&RC are "Fecking Idiots!! for apologising for the wrong reason? the advert rather for the offence caused to Scots terrier men over the years!!
-
The NL&RC have caved in in their determination not to show terriers of a certain age and docked terrier pups at their Scottish show at Cardross! See link: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151783 The NL&RC have now ammended their advert in the CMW to read eg: "PLEASE NOTE:THERE WILL BE CLASSES FOR TERRIER PUPSAND ALL CLASSES CAN INCLUDE DOCKED TERRIERS. The NL&RC apologise for any confusion from any former adverts!" There was no confusion? Scottish law allow's the showing of docked dogs and pup's. For four years the NL&RC showed a deep dis

Its amazing the effect and how much affection this film gives!! I grew up in the industrial east end of Glasgow and the natural history and wildlife on the banks of the river Clyde flowing through Glasgow mesmorised me. I also identified with the character Billy Casper and there defifinately were a few parallels in the film resonating from my own childhood in the late 60's Tom

The actor Brian Glover who played the gym teacher in Kes was also a profesional wrestler who fought under the name of Leon Arras, here he is in a bout against Les Kellet (funny as feck!!) on the old wrestling from the 70's 0n ITV's ancient world of sport programme click on the link: http://videoauthor.com/play.php?vid=123981 Tom

The national election and Westminster Parliement have no input in hunting legislation in Scotland, it makes no difference who holds the power at Westminster, Hunting with dog's in Scotland is a devolved issue and is a matter for Holyrood and Scottish legislators!! Tom im guessing you mean the tory do nothing for scotland is what you mean? or do you mean something else? for the record i would never vote tory i despise everything about them.as for chairman brown well his biggest downfall is that he just comes across all wrong not very photogenic or good at getting his point across

You cannot under any circumstances dock a litter of pups born in Scotland in England " thats!! a criminal offence!!" what is legal is!! if you take your bitch and she whelps in England and you can provide evidence that the pup's will be used for pest control etc: that's legal!! Don't for any reason take pup's bred in Scotland into England to be docked as "you are commiting a criminal offence"!! Tom firstly i dont yet own an undocked terrier my terriers are either old enough to be legally docked or have been bought in legally docked. if and when i breed a litter they will not be d
