  1. find where your power curve gives good shots, then just fill to that and shoot to the last good shot. (why waist air and lead missing?) if you've got say 100 usable shots to a fill and your doing range work, shoot it to empty then refill, if you out nipping the odd bird n fether, say 2-10 shots a time (presuming your scopes stay in like) then wait till about 85 90 shots and top up. (keep count though, it hets bitty towards the end because you never know when a good day wll present). if your one day a weeking it.. shoot a full fill, if only for practice, but 20 shots a day or a quick half
  2. tut..typical Weihrauch's lol..nice arnt they. they used to be known as 'long distance' air rifles with full legth barrels before the karbine days started. i have to asmit i couldnt fault my old , some one elses 35, the 77's were good too, and the HW100 on a shop short range with no sights prooved rather accurate too.. the best feature after the thumbhold ambi stock was the cocking action. i dont know how fast they'd work reliably, but it was fast as a first time user.
  3. lol no problem, it's just something to try out every now and then
  4. the aim of this is to see where your natural tendances perseive.. set up 3-5 objects (that wont flirt off), nothing white and bright but posted a few inch's of the floor up to 3 feet of the floor, no bright skies behind them eather, grass or bramble type back rounds. heres the fun bit, the sun starts to go down and things start to dim in the scope, it's TIME TO PLAY! random distances..here mind. see your 'object' and shoot it, wait a couple minuites then shoot another diferent object, all random, take three shots at each but not in succesion.. all random, and all in bad lightin
  5. its an avanti but i have one and it works nicely...carp to 15-16lb's no problems, and had the tip bent over by the pads a few times every sesh.. at this price yu really cant grumble lol! http://www.dragoncarpdirect.com/products/Avanti-Vendetta-Mk2-12.5m-pole.html

  7. yup.. a mexican stand off. if you instigate any violence then its your fault as far as the law will see....if you ring the polise and they actualy turn up, you have 100 percent proof for the civil court threat, if not...grin n bare it till they go away.
  8. yout looking at a 500 gig minimum, but to weigh it up verses the 1 terabites or more... if it goes tits up a terabite is a lot of stuff, but.... 500 gig gets used up very fast at 20mb a picture..and up to 180 megabites a Tiff.
  9. hmmm 9'5 fp's, 20 yarder hunting, posably 30 if your hot on heads.. perfic ratter though, or even target shooting, i'd prefer 10.5 ish though. had a loan of .22 years back, really good magpie blatter, but only up to the 20 yard mark.

  11. pop a card in post office offering free rat control (in some relavent area though)... best way i know of shaking the cob webs...two three box's of pellets worth in a week lol. (after you practice and suss your ret and revize your distances), your eyes change over the years...
  12. ''have you got a license for that!!!'' ''do you know it's illigal to hunt!! th wild life and country act forbids it!!'' ''you cruel bas-tard!!!!'' first reply, i theres no such 'licence', there is however a fire arm certificate which does not apply to my legal airgun...(latter add in the power thing, 12fp's etc). second....yes it is illigal hunt, and yes the country side act does prohibit, but...the general licence for.. and... and... sais i can, at some point it'll be remind them thats its aparently them that doesnt know, followed by your trespassing!! third...doesnt matte

  14. yup yup... press your fingers on your lips(in your hand no the back of lol) and squick through the gaps..trial and error till you get a noise you want. (it's better if you've heard a young rabbit sueel so you know what to imitate). just out of intrest has any one seen a squirrel legging it to a rabbit kill squeel before? i know they eat eggs but thats a bit keen int it? lol.
  15. first on the agenda ask 'who are you' then ask 'have you permision to be on this land'. then inform them theres a few other full bore shooters and infact your probably in danger because they dont know your on this land..and infact, your trespasing. hehehe i've hid before now, just because i could not be ars90ed to deal with them... theyre deff to anything other than what they want to hear so why bother? my favourate is quote a few rat figures, it ends up not far a million rats in 5 years, all because some do gooder let that ONE go... if they dont get the jist on that, ring the b
  16. a dark lens no less...probably doesnt allow IR to pass throug as good, or the coatings arnt good.. every lens darkens an image at the veiwing end.

  20. yes its adjusting to no recoil... try 'dabbing a tiney wet brush gently on the target'...lol, seriosly, thats what the duference is like, as aposed to hitting it with a broom head of paint lol. or wording it diferently, gently touch the silencer at/onto the target. yeh, it's a bit wet lettice at this stage but when you suss that bit you'll find shooting through again becomes really deadly.
  21. is that the same as adjusting tragectry to fit the ret tidier? so more distance is inbewtween a dot up and say 2 or 2 1/2 dots down? or just the 'kill zone' that chairgun puts on as two paralel straight lines? always intrested in ways and methods.
  22. a-haaa, not just me then, i had a few weeks of back flips, i'm taking 2-3 yards backwards and 3-4 feet in the air, they were coming out like a crazy old man who'd had enough 'of you', all up like, then ping another back flip. as for timid, its a version of the young dood hanging out the window poppingthe starlings off, day one hundreds, day two a few day three had to sneek about for a few, a week later if he apeared near a window or garden nothing was around. plus, with gardens they have a multi choise of places to go feeding, a hot cat (dferent to a hot dog which is taisty) apears the
