    this is the better of the cheapies as far as i know, http://www.chronoscopes.com/ what ever shop yougo to look up on the wall for a calibration certificate for their chrono, they do run out a little from time to time. the combro's good enough to set up a gun with chairgun, and as long as your not one of those 11.9 fp guys you'll be legal at 11.5fp.(it alows for pellet size and weight variations at 11.5). the shooting paper thing has been about for years, and tested to a big fat NO, each pellet hits and deforms difierently giving a very diferent depth for the majority of pellets.

    grass ghillie suit and gem up at 40-45 yards.. or brable ghillie and sit along there and wait. sniper veil and lay in the grass.. wheres the sun when its low, can you get that behind you? a tri pod stool cammo net or ghillie cloth over it, and sit behind it..peg it out a bit to make it wider and even a little around you....

    i have a little mind thing to shoot on..(think on). shooting at 5 yards theres a pellet hole, you can hitthat again because you've already brain pathed it by doing it. now how big is a rabbits head? say at 30 yards, is it bigger or smaller than that near shot pellet hole?.. so you can hit a head at 40.. just a way of thinking a shot..works or it soesnt depending on who you are. good shooting btw......

    i rember a hoverfly playing that game, 32 yards on 20 mag mid air, took three shots though, the thing kept flying off as shot lol. my personal best is setting up a side wheel, 50 mag at close up, when this huge spider apaers...i nearly tried to leg it!! lmao!

    whatever is the narmal food there, if its a cow shed leave a pile of the feed, as in a couple hree litres in a big heap.. if it's going to be on hoing i'd rig some night lights up on a couple three heaps, keep them on all night and keep the heaps topped up.(that way they'll get used to a free feed there under the loverly illumination..no lamp required, just a nice seat and a flask lol.

    nice couple of posts there.. yup, what are you cumfy with. (like knowing what yu can do). the sniper type shot..well, part 1 is how good can get or what do you want from this skill of shooting? it certainly seems to become a a life long, or as long long as you can thing doesnt it. part 2 is....ok, your asked to clear some rodents, theres easy spots (that claned out very quickly) then theres not so many easy spots...like you cant get there to 20 yards, the next logical staep is so how close can you get? if your not savy with the distance then yup dont go winging away like... but... if y

    to any one starting or in the early stages (up to two years odd) theres one basic thought..whats behind the target, DONT SHOOT ANY ONE! thats the formost thought to implant..no accidents. you pulled the trigger its our fault..end of. i think my best silly shot was 240 yards in a wind, hit a 1 inch plastic pipe that was horizontal on the second shot lol...couldnt hit it again after like. zini..82 yards i start needing 1 inch to 2 inch bricks.. from a stool though, and after a couple days out with the tent. that was two year ago, been ill since, just emerging again and waiting very pa

    i think as a biginer its go and see on a range, or with a bit of serious plinking (but not on coke cans here, you could hit that throwing bricks at it but be no closer to hunting skill levals with an airgun, find the pellet hit the center of the O etc etc) it's a bit of both zini, good advice and he himself has to accept what his skill leval is, as we all do. i know a few very good hunters that never shoot past 30 yards.

    hi zini, have you tried walking out in front of various IR illuminators yet? i was wandering if the lazer illuminators were less vissable than say one of the old 135mw ones.(i could see mine vividly at 100 yards out infront when it was pointed towards me). i have a cree one that lights a feild up nicely but have to admit never bothered to go see if that was any better. or with filtered lights.. and i've never handled or seen the lazer IR jobbies.

    thats hit he nail on the head..at 60 yards thers a lotts room and a lot of variables than can and will go wrong.. if your needing to ask then posably your a couple years off atempting those shots. with exsperiene amounting to 14-16 hurs aday and night with or with lights n NV 7 days a week for a couple years the question isnt how far you can hit..thats 140 plus yards...how far it will kill yup 60- yards is posable, but even with that kid of exsperience i dont know many that count more than 70 yards viable or relible..60's about right....     i thought the dsame thing about the skirt dents, started picking through and got fed up of chucking then just used them, i was suprised how good tey were even dented, but didnt have any probs with the mag. i'm wandering if the soft skirt shapes up to the barrel as you fire them..cant think why else theyed still be so accurate.

    i went through all this a while ago..depends what gun/barrel etc, only way to know for sure is to get to a shop..put one on then another.. you'll know for sure when you hear it.

    i'd say avoid the ones that have a big arsed illuminated outer ring and stick tothe center only immuminated rets. it gets too much for your eye if everything is blairing in yu face...

    its hard to find them sorts tbh.. i've not bought an airgun mag in years, because i know its no t the best in the world, and the next right up..the best in the world...and so on, gets boring. so yup a refreshing 'here it is and this is what it does'..ty to that bloke.

    if your too worried about knucking the head (in the hand) theres the old hang up by the back legs one hand and a sharp clunck/chop to the back of the head kneck area, failing that a desent cosh will do it..mind your hand though.

    thank gawd some one did lolol... i think if it works well its just a matter of getting a good supply route/manufacturer, it seams all the others started of well then got into dificulty and disapeered, posably nobbled by competetors, but one was from very bad after sales...he had to ermm, 'disapeer' if the rumours were corect lol.. a heads up there.
