  2. Thats the one Chief . I always though All Terrains were 50 - 50's but the guy at the Tyre wholesalers sorted me out with a set of Cooper ATR 60 - 40's, he told me you'll get less road noise with thse and if you're not a seriouse Off Roader they'll be ideal......
  3. After reading some bad press about the Nav I'll 99% sure be moving it on sometime in the new year. there's a few Pickups on the market these days but which one ticks all the box's? when I did my homework a couple of years back the Navara seemed to come tops in fuel consumption plus it had a bit more power to it but is this still the case . Its won't be a new one by the way, hopefully around 2002/2005 model....
  4. Shit me Ratsnatcher it could of been a nasty one . cheers for the advice mate .
  5. Ooooops ! Tell your Mum I'll take your dogs for a walk! clean all your aviaries out, polish her car and even do a Dance in my Loin cloth for her if she keeps it quiet . It would be awful if she told the missus cause she has now taken up Sumo wrestling and could sit on me! she's also trying to break the record for eating as many Big Mac's as possible in one day ...
  6. Nice one Stu it would be much apreciated . If it came down to Sex with the wife or a plate of Jellied Eels I'm afraid the eels would win everytime ...
  7. Just found up a few old pic's of My first RS TURBO on a D - Plate, and the silver one on a G - Plate. then I broke the mould and had a fling with a PUG 205 1.9GTI which got nicked , you can see in that pic my little Yammy TZR 125 I used for work. I then went out and brought my Final RST which was in the previouse pic's, this was a baby when I brought it with only 9,000mls on the clock....
  8. Cheers for that Rooster . I checked over all the rest of the steering and all seems ok, the play looks to be in the box, I'll try moving it a bit at a time and see how it goes!! the other thing I have noticed is when the engine is running it takes some of the play out of the steering, it definitley has more play when the engine is switched off ....
  9. I signed up on that site about 5 years ago and havn't posted for a good 4 years and can't beleive I can still sign in. I tried it the other day under the user Homebrew and I'm still there . 13. Ooops sorry mate. it was a insult to call it a Vauxhall viva . Them Mexico's were a bit special to say the least! I would say you remember the RS 1800 MK2? I used to have dreams owning one of them when I was a lad, I nearly got hold of a 1970 RS2000 before I brought the Capri but someone pipped me to the post. I was a RS freak and still love them. I had 3 Escort RS TURBO's starting from a 87 D plate and cried when I sold my last 91 Model, I advertised it and tryed to put the perspective buyer off buying it but needs must and it had to go , I don't mind saying it but I was heart broken for
  14. I nearly snotted on the keyboard when the link came up.....
  15. Thats quality Al. Is the MK1 Escort picture one of the old RS 2000's? it would be worth a mint now mate. I'm not being Biased but the Ecort looks heaps better than the Vauxhall in the other picture , is it a Viva or Victor? Cheers Jasper
  16. So did I mate!! it was my Baby. It was the MK3 with the Square headlights and the Wooden dash and rev counter plus the plush black cloth seats , I did everything to it from sticking a 4 branch manifold on it and some twin choke webbers and a nice noisy exhaust, I also had a Wondow Louvre, 13 inch steering wheel, breaking lights in the rear window, all the Decals which you can faintly see in the picture, earth strips on the back with lights on, silly lights on the front grill and a even dafter siren I could blast when I drove past people , I have a later picture of it somewhere fitted with crom
  17. My first car was a old K plate MK1 Escort, it was a very sexy Light Blue . the second Motor in the picture was a MK3 Cortina 2.0 GT, The third was My Pride and joy at the time and a prime Fanny Magnet, Capri 2.0 S, and another quick picture of a Escort RS Turbo Custom 91 Spec I owned in 93, another Fanny Magnet for its time ... For some reason during this era I had a thing about Fannies ..
  18. Very much so mate!! Just remind me the last time Wales won anything Major ....
  19. I have a rough Idea MC! was it a place of Prehistoric Interest? they look to have a fair set of Maulers on them, I wouldn't fancy a Hawk latching onto one after seeing the damage a squirrel did to a Harris's Foot... Cheers Jasper
  20. Nice one Simoman . Whats the general opinion. Would it really be a bad thing from a "Sporting point of view" if they Thrived in this country? I know it means another Foreign species on our shores but then so was the Rabbit/Grey Squirrel and a good few other species we Hunt....
  21. It was like St Crispens day all over again !! the only difference we wasn't out numbered by about 8 to 1 this time. there's not many Battles we've lost to the French .....
  22. I bet you needed a pretty special Mole Trap to catch that one mate . there a enclosed field full of them at Banham Zoo but they must escape ito other area's, are they Hardy enough to deal with our winters?
  23. Looks like a Prairie Dog or Ground Hog by the pic's. If you let their numbers get up just think of the sport you could have ......
