Whilst making a new carrying box, I let two of this years young uns out in the backyard like most nights. Heard a splosh and splashing sound, turned around to find my biggest albino hob had lifted the grid on the drain, and ended up face first down it unable to back up or turn around! Having a good dog to mark up will tell you weather anyone is at home, plus if they are young ferrets they might not be up to the job of moving them just yet, not all bunnies will bolt, and young ferrets on stubborn bucks with there backs up sometimes struggle and come away. If you have an older proven ferret, run this with the young one's to give them a hand to start with, they soon get the hang of it then!
  17. Good to see the dogs position themselves for the bolters, the little fast one's are superb, they can catch a bunny before you've seen it! What sort of length are your hedge nets? Only done a small amount on the hedgrows myself, suppose there a lot quicker to set up than a load of purse nets in rough nettle beds and scrub in the hedge bottoms.
