Im a landlord at 28. Ive had my house for about 3 years and i bought it for one reason only. It was an investment. It was a repossession so i got it for a decent price. Untill recently my house was rented to a single mother who im assuming received various benefits. She got treated well, i payed for new carpets because she wanted a change ect ect. I kind of think your view of people like me is funny, i spent 7 months in Iraq for most of the deposit for that house, and when i got back from Afghan about 18 months ago i was seriously tempted to get another house in the same area, again a rep

I think itd be a shame for the Union to split. As a small group of islands we ran an empire that the sun never set upon. We've stood side by side for hundreds of years and whether the Scots/Welsh/Irish love us back i genuinly think 99% of us English love you guys as fellow countrymen.

I went and it was a fantastic place. It is pretty expensive though. I would recomend a trip to a place called the Blue Lagoon, which is an open air, geothermal hot pool in a kind of swimming pool type setting. I imagine it would be fantastic to go when the suns setting and its also pretty near to Reykjavik. I went to a huge water fall (like the niagra falls) that was very impressive and the gysers were very impressive also. If you fancy a bus tour a place called skogard (or somethink simelar) and porsmork is very impressive if you fancy a little walk. I kind of think you might be limited by th

First off, that's two different things.. If we take your , second comment as the correct one, there were still far, far less junior officers killed than the normal rank and file because there was a far smaller number of them to begin with. Your selective application of the facts in this particular case kind of make your use of them irrelevant.. It wasnt deliberately selective. Im just not very wordy. I spend 5 mins every time i post spell checking it and trying to make it sound right. He made a comment that basically implied the "officer class" sat back, told sent Tommys over t

You not made any points at all ... your not some kind of rebel you know because you dont like the monarchy. Republicans always turn to the "your a cap doffer" argument when they have nothing to say. You say your not a communist, im actualy interested to know your political persuasion if you dont mind. I dont have one. I look out for me and my own. That being said i could never vote Labour because of the hunting ban alone and i dont see how any one who was into field sports ever could.
-
You must know that to have a free vote on hunting now would be suicide for the pro-hunting movement? We wouldnt be in this position now if Blair hadnt forced it through in the first place to try and score some points with his backbenchers who were hell bent on fighting a class war. Ref WW1, im not claiming anything, its a fact. A higher percentage of junior officers were killed than any other rank. Looking at the Top 20 Rich List for the year there is and Earl and a Duke on it. The rest look to me like self made businessmen/women. Im sure the aforementioned aristocracy were certainly h

My only experience of any sort of "class system" ive experienced in my relatively short 28 years of life was the Labour government banning hunting cause of some petty class war. The largest loss of life from any rank range in WWI was the junior officers who were decimated leading their men from the front. The recent surge in the divide between the wealthiest and the poorest in this country happened under Tony Blair's government. Your anecdote that a friend of a friend told you means nothing. I used to sit and eat with my boss all the time whos great, great, great, ect ect granddad

Intelligence led policing. They knew that some were on his person was a loaded gun. You cant expect them to take a slightest bit of a chance with people, especially after what has happened over the last few days. Like some one else said he was playing with fire and he got burned. Its his own fault, no one elses, and good riddance to him and all the other low lifes.

Im 99.99% sure the L109 doesnt come ready to go. Some one needs to screw the firing mechanism/det into the main body. *Edited* Im no massive fan of police (ive never had a good experience with them) but im interested to know if you apply the "signed on the dotted line" mentality to squaddies. Any one who joined the Army in the last 10 years surely must also expect the worst? In a way i happen to agree. No one patrolling in Afghanistan could say "this isnt what i signed up for", but tbh i dont think either of these girls would have thought for a second when they joined the police

The problem i think is a few things. 1. Common sense: Our so called leaders, local and national, often dont have any. The instance Paulus spoke about could have been solved if the person making the decisions had some. 2. Im not saying every one thinks they are owed a house, some people genuinely cant get a job that will pay enough for them to live some were else. There are on the other hand alot of people who are quite happy to do f**k all and think its their right, which it isnt. 3. Wasting Money. I agree with you Scothunter. Councilers should get a decent wage to attract peop

Playing devils advocate here. Why do people think they are owed a house? Im not saying its right that people should live on the street but you ahve to admit that you know a good few people who dont need that 3 bed semi they are living in. How about people quit smoking and drinking as much and get a deposit down for a house? If people can afford a 50" telly, the latest i phone or a new car every few years then they should pay more for there council house or just not have one altogether so people who need one can get one that is suitable for their situation. People are quite happy to hop on

Id like to know how boar compare to feral pigs. Like Born Hunter said no wild pigs near me. Ive always wondered if the countryside is actualy open enough for wild boar to get everwere. Id imagine ther is just to many fences and it would realy impede them.
-
ahhh i never realised they would be that fast. Thought the would just plod on at a steady pace tbh. Do you find you stag gets chucked around much as im sure big pigs must be a night mare. Why do people buy live hogs, im sure it cant be for stocking other areas or for farming. Are they used for training younger dogs or for trails? Its something ive been interested in for a while and if i ever come to the states im going to try and get a day or two out somewere i think. Cheers for the info btw.
-
Good pics mate. A couple of questions if you dont mind. Why are some of the pigs dead and some of the others look hobbled or something? Whats the reason for keeping em alive? And ... Are the running dogs stags and what do they bring to the table that an athletic bull doesnt? I asuming the pigs arnt that fast is it just work for them? Cheers mate.

Youll probably have to be vouched for, but when ive spoken to hunts in the past ive found most of them more than welcoming. Google "hunting directory" and there is a good couple of hunting directories with alot of contact details for different hunts. Best thing you can do is just try to get in touch with the hunt you fancy most off one of those sites. Like i said they will probably want to know your not an anti but in this day and age you cant blame em.
-
Didnt realise there was so many hogging telly programs on!
-
I think its because its locked to people outside of the states. Would be interesting to watch though.
-
He didnt even say who the seceratry was. He didnt give any contact details. You can google virtually any hunt in the country and get quite a few web pages, a good few of em by anti organisations, many of the pages have contact details on. Antis, unfortunately, arnt that stupid and dont need to hang around THL wait for some one to drop a bollock. That being said im sure they dont want details put around willy nilly.

A fox hunt isn't fair leveller but that's a different debate
Buch replied to a topic in General Talk
Field sports by there very nature arnt a "fair fight". Its not "fair" to use a NV scope on a rifle when shooting rabbits. Its not "fair" decoying pigeons. Its not "fair" slipping a lurcher on "legal quarry". I think you have an obligation to be sporting though if your not hunting purely for pest control or filling the pot. Any one could take there spaniel onto a field and pick up hares that are sitting too tight (well not these days, wouldnt want to break the law ), but you wouldnt say it was a coursing dog. Pre ban alot of hunts used to give a fox that had been dug out "law", others who have -
