The current youngster I have here has saluki and collie in the mix and can sway from one mindset to another .... It took us a few weeks to understand each other and a lot of softly softly persuasion ..... Now we know what makes each other tick we have formed a very good bond and we are forming a decent little working team ... The dog loves to please me and I enjoy being out with the bitch ..... She still has her moments when I am trying to work down my man shed and she decides my tools look better on the floor than on the work bench .................

That's the answer I was looking for ... I always view books and biography telly programmes or films of people very sceptically as they are always sensationalised to sell more and make more money ... I never met Lenny McLean but I did work the doors for a certain known London family and a few of the local lads I worked with had met him and said the same as Gnasher .... The reason I asked today is whenever one of these conversations comes up in general people club Lenny McLean Roy shaw etc into the same group as the Krays and such like and I have always thought that as people they would be worl

I am positive like I said just watch out for the back of her neck ... Ferret mating is a rough old game and looks very violent ... As long as the hob isn't attacking her then she will be fine ........
-
Let them get on with it he will soon mate her ... Just keep an eye on the back of her neck ... When it becomes raw and painful looking take the job out .........
-
Spent most of my life running far more than that everyday mate ........ Retirement must be a good thing then pal lol....... I have retired from one job and stepped straight into another ........
-
When she is ready to breed her fanny will swell ten times its normal size ........
-
Wilf I was in no way trying portray these types as glamorous or what they did as cool or whatever ... I just wondered if anybody on here or their parents had mixed with these guys and were are the tv programmes and books true to life or as most things hyper sensationalised and actually they were down to earth normal blokes ............
-
There are a fair few lads on this site from in and around London and I am sure some of you or your parents grew up in around these fellas ..... My question is this were the likes of Lenny McLean Roy shaw etc real bad boys or have books telly and the media in general hyped them up and made them out to be villains when infact they were just hard blokes that you respected and crossed at your peril ...... We all know about the Krays and the richardsons etc but I would be interested to hear about the less infamous people .........

Cameron has only started shouting this stance since UKIP started gaining seats and favour with the public as this is what they have been saying from day one ... His writers have changed some wording and added the Tory spin to it but essentially its what Nigel Farage has been saying all along ........
-
Yep that's why I whent for this pup ... Plus the both parents are very good workers ........

Collie grey saluki with a touch of bull ... She has thrown to the collie with an edge of saluki mentality wise and has taken on the saluki stamina with the speed of the greyhound ... I am very happy with the way she is progressing at this early stage ......
-
I have a lurcher to lurcher bred pup here at the moment that's 6 months old and she has stamina to burn ... I was taking her twice a week on the quad for 5 miles at 12 miles an hour ... I am now up to every other day for 8 miles at 12 miles an hour and on the non quad days she gets a 5 mile walk free running ... No matter what I throw at this bitch she still gets back and dives over the other dogs and play barks for them to chase her around the garden .... If she keeps going the way she is now she will have no problems putting in a 5 day a week work load ........

There was a fella in Swansea in the eighties that bred this type of dog but I can't remember for the life of me what his name was ... He had this type for a long time and was getting decent bags with the 3/4 crosses ............

New Member, Tips On Cage Trapping Rabbits Please !
socks replied to pestie100's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Why get them used to the cages.....why not catch them when they go in the first time? Just wondering??? JD Because if you set your traps in a line it will take each various rabbit a different amount of time to get used to the traps and if you set 10 traps and on the first night a rabbit springs the trap and spooks the other rabbits it will be a long old wait before they get used to it again .... If the majority of the rabbits are used to the trap and are happily feeding the springing of a trap next to theirs or a couple of traps down won't bother them ....... -
Yes she is .......
-
What a load of nonsense ... I have a collie grey bitch that is out working at least 5 days a week and sometimes in the night after a full days work and she never blows up .........

Chopped up apple and carrot as bait a littler on the runs leading up to the cages and the main amount in the cages ... Cover the cage floor in earth because if the rabbit feels the wire underneath its feet it will back off .... If the ground and time constraint permits keep the cage door jammed open so that they get used to feeding inside the cage ... Once they are eating the bait set the door and catch the coney ...... The only downside is that foxes and badgers love apple also and you may have a surprise in one of your cages ........ -
If her kidney is up under her rib cage you better get her to a vet ..........
