  1. Going to be trying these end of month stocked up already this month, heard some very good reviews about the quality of the meat!!
  2. Just had a look on gonetoground they are a lot cheaper than what I've paid in the past!
  3. I'll be interested to see the comments here, I've walked a couple of hounds for the hunt, first was a nightmare nose down off, but the second was showing real promise as a bushing dog for the Lurchers getting right into cover, never strayed too far, even took him out ferreting and he was brilliant and good for marking, could have been a real asset but obviously had to go back to the pack where he is doing well so I'll have to wait till he retires to have him back.
  4. Loved my raving days in the 90's, worked all week, then be off my face all weekend, we went to Eclipse, Coventry and did all the Fantastia Events. No wonder I'm not right in my head these days
  5. Does anybody know the treatment for this? there is Panacur Paste for rabbits or dogs, cats, puppies, kittens but nothing for Ferrets
  6. One of my hobs that's caged on his own, has lost loads of weight and his nose is orange, not looking too good. I have googled an orange nose and can be a sign of anemia. My question can Ferrets get Lung Worm? this would cause these symptons. There are a lot of slugs at the moment around the cage and he does eat them. The hob is around six years old
  7. Thanks for all the replies and I do let them lick Ferrotone off my fingers so picking them up is a positive thing but Malcolm as I have called him licks my fingers then bites me! I have a massive cage for them I can stand in the little sod even goes to bite my legs, I will carry on with him for a while and hope after all this he turns out to be my best worker!
  8. Right I have kept two Hob Ferrets from the litter I have bred this year and the one from the whole litter is a little S**T everytime it just bites me and now it's like 16 wks it's drawing blood, my question is do you think some ferrets are just biters?? I have treated them all the same and the rest are really tame, even had one person who has had two off me say how tame they are. Should I persist with this young ferret?
  9. I thought my Jill was dead didn't move for ages!
  10. One of my Jills went quite bald last year, she looked terrible but coat grew back and also Ferretone mine absolutely love this stuff!!! use it for the kits when getting them used to being handled just let them have a bit from the bottle or let them lick it off my fingers

  16. I've the same one of my Jills has turned into a right psycho, she's had me a couple of times now , now I'm putting on this really thick ski gloves to take her out whilst cleaning the cage I'm hoping when the kits go after 8 weeks she returns to normal, otherwise I'll be wearing the thick gloves when I take her out this season haha
  17. Thanks for the replies will just leave them to it for a bit, Polecat has 4 kits and my Albino has 10.
  18. Just out of interest when do people start handling the kits, both my Jills have had their kits now, last Sunday, I have only had a peek to see how many each has had. I've been reading to start handling them at four weeks is this about right. Plus my polecat has turned into a psycho, she's really had me twice now, got some lovely bite marks, first I went to pick her up and second went to get food bowl normally I handle them everyday!!! bloody hormonal ferrets
