    Dont think you need too much advise mate, if you havent got a smoker and your just starting out ratting then "just lifting up rubble and sheets of plastic etc" will be enough to get you and your dog started... you should still get a fare amount by just doing that around "chicken sheds and a farm with loads of out buildings" All the best!

    IMO the baying terrier is the better of the both, but if you can Own both types (Baying & Hard) at the same time, now thats handy!!

    Just a question, but... What do people tend to use these terriers for? because obviously they are to big for ground work...

    i heard alot of stories that they are much to big to do ground work though... even though ive also heard they are a terrier of many talents
