    i know it's a thing to eat woodcock with there guts in but the fact that there main diet is worms ,insects, spiders and all manner of invertebrates puts me right off and i'm not squeamish when it comes to offal but the thought of guts filled with all that no thanks ,and i wonder why it's only woodcock that gets eaten like this ,food for the gods i'll take your word for it

    my grandfather died in july 1942 in the first battle of el alamein and he fought alongside the indian infantry his name is on the memorial at el alamein along with lots of fallen indian infantry men

    a few lads i knew years ago were extras in First knight that they were filming in North wales they got cold and wet waiting around and were only going to be paid about £40 quid each so they sacked it and went home but took the swords helmets and all the other props that they had been given to wear home with them certainly better than the £40 Trawsfynydd nuclear power station had a facade front on it to make in to Camelot

    personally i would of liked to have seen them reintroduced but i don't that it would be a good thing or a bad one to be honest

    iv'e yet to read the green hills of Africa about the time he spent on a two month safari ,sounds good but havn't yet read it
