    Rob if i was after just a busher I would get a spanial, for a few reasons, my lurcher was retreiving a rabbit live this morning till my beddie grab hold of the ass of rabbit and wouldnt let go, good way to ruin a lurchers retrieving but managed to get the beddie off and kept walkin so lurcher had retrieve it to me, the lurcher has told her off before for it but not this time shes a softie if was a different type of lurcher it could kick off or refuse to retrieve atall! theres a few lads doing earth work with kc but does the bit of paper mean anything????

    Mine is fine when close but on scent on anything bigger than a rabbit and not close she will be gone, wouldn't take her ferreting as lurchers a lot more useful for bolters etc]

    I dint say he can't I said I wouldn't! Mine bushes as good as I've seen but she's not working to flush to lurchers she's working to catch anything and everything herself she hunts! If your out bushing for a few rabbits to the Lurcher and they put something else up and disappear for a hour or drop to ground as they are a terrier it's no fun! A beddy whippet will catch a lot more and can lamp! A spaniel x will bush hard and work close and work as a team and stop when told!

    I would say a beddy whippet be the best option or a spaniel x terrier! Beddys are great but wouldn't get one if after just a busher !

    Dogs should be checked over straight after dig, clean dogs off, wash wounds out with warm salt water a few times to get any crap out, fill wounds with germiline for few days then it will start to close and dry up! If dog has took a lot stick some penicillin may be worth while

    read his books they were good got me to get my first lurcher now the rest is history! but why he needed to create his own breed I dont get it and reading someone has said he kept his dogs in bad conditions loses respect

    when I lived on a farm i lost alot of chickens one day went down the fox tried taking the big hen and jump sheep the fence with it but got caught and was hanging safe to say i didnt release this one but Tomo did the right thing

    I've fed pheasant carcasses to dogs before, they prefer chicken and its not as rich
