  1. I would agree with you and thats my next option but the only problem with topics is if you want a specific recipe you have to scroll through the pages whereas in a forum you ust click the one you want. Joe Yeah, your right enough but I think we both know it ain't gonna happen lol but good luck Maybe not, you never know I hope it does and if it does then great if not it will just have to be a thread like you said. Joe Just a thought but maybe if you put a thread up, show how popular it is, maybe the mods will give it a trial then, what you think? I will do

  4. You up for running that section
  5. Just wondered if Ian would consider putting in a cooking and home preserving part to the forum, maybe in the living of the land section like with the poultry sub section. I only say that because I know there are quite a few people on here that have some excellent recipes from pastries all the way to home brewing. What do others think? Joe
  6. A hare jumped through a hedge about a foot up from the ground, still convinced it was hiding actually in the hedge and not on the ground. Also a pheasant bolted from a rabbit hole while setting nets. Joe
  7. Excellent for your 1st time! Well done on them
  8. You have excellent skills there, I may have to gather a few pennys up for quality like that. Joe
  9. http://www.ukcider.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Main_Page This is one of the sites I use. They have plans to make your own press or scratter. Hope it helps, Joe
  10. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/197054-ferret-formula/ There you go mate, personally I would say don't get it as theres no need Joe
  11. This one I get 3 or 4 rabbits a session and ferret it 4 or 5 times a season and have done for 2 years (you do the maths, I can't haha)
  12. Yeah I like to spoil my ferrets but they don't appreciate it haha, don't know why but one of the b******s bit me today, never bitten me before etc, so I thought odd may be in pain so gave it a check over nothing seems wrong with it, eating, pissing, pooing fine, so I think it was just in a mood haha, but yeah nice to hear of other people giving there ferrets as much space as possible. Get some pics up if you can, would love to see them. Joe
  13. Shredders are fine, you can make something similar quite cheap though, I will try to get a link up, it is really easy, looks good and ie effective Joe
  14. Are you sure they are fat and not just big boned, as mine are quite big but they aren't fat, and just get them out in the new season to see if they are any good. If they are genuinely fat then cut there food down and up there exercise. be it more stimulation in there court/hutch or even leads and harnesses, if you can't let them lose in your gardem if you can then thats the best option in my eyes. Joe
  15. That is a cracking set up, well done. It has given me a few ideas for my court modifications. Joe
  16. Reds less than half an hour from Watford Half hour drive, or half hour walk? If it is walk then I would say where, haha
  17. So last weekend, after planning it for ages and not having the time ot get on and do it, me and my old man decided to stick another level on our court, at 1st we only had the floor which the hutch sat on aswell which didn't give them as much space as I would of liked. So we brought some timber and made the extra level. Here are a few pictures. I will take some more photos soon, but the camera battery ran out as I was half way through taking pictures. JoeD
  18. Nice pictures there, your lucky to have all that on your back door! I would love to see deer like that or have scenery like that, but I have to travel quite far to get to see things like that. Joe

Okay RFYL and the other decent members, can we start writing good threads with pictures and writeups and just report any prats as soon as they post. I think the more good posts we have and the more idiots reported the better this place can be. I will be posting more threads as of today and I hope people will take the time to read, comment, critisize etc, now critisizing is not ranting and raving and saying everything is wrong and this and that, it is there to help people so make sure that it is constructive! Can we have an agreement or not, and everyone that wants change will have
  20. You just need to search the forum mate, there are many, many threads on courts. It is found in the top right hand corner of the page, just search something like "ferret court" Joe

I think the forum needs new mods that are proven to be respectful and who stick by the rules of the forum, I do think we need probably 4/5 mods per different section. I think the only section that has had NO arguing, no bitching, no pisstaking etc is the living of the land section and that is where I am most of the time now as I don't do writeups because as previously mentioned, knowone takes any notice of them in fear that someone will slag them off. I used to thouroughly enjoy the ferreting section when there was some brilliant pictures and writeups of Stubby (you need to post some more of y
  22. I do enjoy my allotment, and also fishing and a bit of photography here and there is good too. Joe
  23. I can just see my seedlings popping out the soil as with the pumpkins and my tomatoes...Oh I feel like a dad lol!
  24. Has anyone got any experience in growing this chilli? This is the 1st time I have really tried to grow chilli's but I brought 2 plug plants of this variety at the edible garden show a couple of weekends back and they are growing at such a fast rate. Any help in getting the best crop will be great. Cheers, Joe
