  1. Okay made some sloe gin in January and I have tried my hardest not to try it out, but I couldn't resist it after a hard day at work, so I had a bit neat, and bloody hell its strong but it is the best I have ever tried! I just thought I would share it. I made it by using a handful of sloes, a 1/4 of the bottle of sugar and top it up with gin, and every day just gave it a shake till all the sugar is dissolved, People say strain the sloes out but I left the berries in as I think it looks good as well as enhancing the flavour. People you need to try this
  2. I was swimming with dolphins in Florida when we heard the news.
  3. To be honest mate, I disagree, I'm 19, and started ferreting a few years back with thanks to stubby on here and another member who has left, they took me out and showed me, before this I had no contacts in ant country pursuits, but now I have a fair bit of my own permission, a good reputation locally and its all come from being polite, and persevering. Joe

  14. What do you mean :hmm:If you mean if the ferrets will cope with the winter months then i'm sure they will be fine, I am more concerned if we have a heat wave in the summer thats when ferrets struggle.

  17. Made some from your book trappa, it is lovely stuff
  18. So do you reckon 6 z is ok for a long net mate of mine has one for ferreting seems ok to me , Yeah will be fine just make sure you have enough bagging though, but there's a lot more experienced guys who will be much more knowledgeable than me but it works fine for me.
  19. Its all down to personal preference mate. I prefer the 10z for my purse nets as they don't tangle so easy but have had more rabbits slip a 10z than a 6z net. Longnets on the other hand I prefer the net to be as light as possible as they will catch anything and rabbits rarely bounce off them unless you don't have enough bagging.
  20. I will take one maybe 2, PM me and I will give you a call, if you still have them. Cheers, Joe
  21. Ferrets can get into such a deep sleep you can't wake them up and they go floppy and well seem dead. Perfectly normal.
