  1. A 3-9x56 isn't the best scope. Its just a range of mag and the size of the objective lens. Build quality varies massively! Buy the best scope you can afford and sportsmatch mounts. And don't expect to hit 50p coins at 100 yards it's a hw90 you have again isn't it?, if I remember you rightly. Save your pennies, buy a better scope and lower your expecations of 100 yard 50p shots ffs.
  2. I thaught same too set it up and leave it I think. If you want less power use a different gun.
  3. Yep had gat gun too. The hustlers I used had a twisty plastic yellow top lid with a square hole and you twisted it and it open and pop a few pellet's out. Was sure the twin rings gave me big power oops lol. I had a meteor after that too and had rabbits with it at about 15 yards lol. After that had an 85. I recently got one and gave it a bit of tlc. Iv not done anything with it yet (will put that right soon) but when I see it it's an emotional moment. Strange eh! Lol.
  4. Hope he gets better - was a bit of a legend on here!
  5. YOU WOULD NOT SAY THAT IF YOU SAW IT IN THE FLESH :whistling:  distressed look jimmy its for shooting sh!t with not knocking one out over atb si Looks nice on my phone. My mate had an it was beaten and the bluing was grey! It shot mint but for some reason it had something about it - a bit like a beaten up old landrover.
  6. Allways catches my eye that 95 of yours si brown lovely looking set up!
  7. For the scope is the hawke eclipse 3-12x50 ir mil dot or hawke eclipse 4-16x50 mil dot the better for small game as I have no idea about the ranges etc for hunting small game and am a complete a mature at using a rifle these most likely seem bone questions but like I say I have no clue. More used to using a ferret and net lol.Hi ashdove. Iv not used either of them scopes on my 99 I like a nice compact scope in keeping with its light weight. Hawke scopes are decent just make sure it's mil dot and your away. They are nice guns and no charging gear needed. A DIY fettle to them also makes a fun
  8. About a week after I got my B2 the gunshop gave me a free scope when I baught a few tins of pellets. It was an unbranded 2×20 thing - I thaught it was the bees knees lol. Good times!
  9. I had a B2 and spent my weekends constantly pinking away tin cans and spending all my pocket money on bulldog, hustlers and marksman pellets. Just the sight of one of them pellet tins brings back some good memories and fuzzy feeling!
  10. If I was to choose another gun I would want one with a bigger air capacity. Having to go back to refill is a pain unless you are driving. My excalibure is great but if I chose again it would be a rapid!
  11. I'd reccomend after all the guns iv owned - a new HW99 and give the piston a good polish and fit TBT spring guide kit and still have change for a nice mil dot scope and pellets. Learning to shoot a springer well is good for learning marksmanship skills too.
  12. Found this today..... A half penny. Nothing special but one of my first coin finds so I'm chuffed to bits. Using my new garrett ace 250 can't wait to get back out with it.
  13. Stunning looking gun mac! Bet your chuffed to bits!
  14. Awsome mark I spotted that yesterday too while looking at old HW 80s and thaught of you when I saw it. Can't belive you baught it! Brilliant!
  15. Bloody brilliant - pics like that using the centrepin really get you exited! Very nice indeed.
  16. HI rez I tried to pm you but think your inbox is full. I'll try again later, cheers Tom.
  17. Great - easy to work on arnt they! They make a great quality built gun but seem to lack attention to detail on these things. Good fun tinkering with them isn't it! All the best with your project, Tom.
  18. Sounds an intresting project Richard! The Welsh willy kits sound good I'm going to try one in my next project. What was the difference in recoil like between the hw and titan spring? Rez.... if you read this I think your inbox is full.
  19. Brilliant. Iv never felt under gunned even on big rallies with expensive detectors around me....my finds have been equal to everyone else really Great! Can't wait for it to land - more exiting than Christmas lol.
  20. Iv got a garett ace 250 on the way, does anyone own one of these and what do you think of it? Cheers, Tom.
