That's right MC. It's dead easy. Dead cheap and you don't need any professional rifle skills to do it. What is there to lose and why not try it if you're prepared to have to re-blued anyway? When you send the rifle away how long are they going to keep it for?

Try some Youngs 303 Oil and some very fine grade steel wool. Treble or Quadruple Zero (that's 000 or 0000) which is usually available from plumbers merchants. Get plenty of oil on the barrel (making sure you don't get any inside the barrel) and gently work the finish with the steel wool. The steel wool is fine enough not to scratch the finish providing you don't work it too hard, the Youngs will help dissolve the rust and remove it from the barrel without causing further damage to the finish. It's imperative that you use a fine grade steel wool due to the delicate nature of the blueing

Superb rifle, Ian. The 'S' feels much lighter than the 'K' although it's down to balancing. I rate this rifle over all the others and despite some early complaints I've yet to use one that was anything less than amazing. Money well spent in my opinion.

Many moons ago, when The Hunting Life was only a few weeks old, a few of us got together and looked into the logistics of getting something like this off the ground. As none of us were any good at web design we stalled almost immediately, so we looked into getting help and pointers from the bigger boys in the countryside campaigning arena. To this day I still haven't received a reply from the CA, despite sending a dozen or so emails. Soon after, a new site opened called The Fieldsports Debate. It's mandate was to tell it like it is, warts and all. They welcomed contributors from both sides

We've been arguing this for years Ditch... where was our PR machine? Judging by the empty champagne bottles by the tent they were pissed up on our donations. The pro hunting lobby have got the funding and the knowledge, to set up their own websites and blast back at the lies printed about them. The problem is they haven't got the inclination to do it. One guy ran a site that totally blew the anti argument out of the water... in the end he had about 5 people contributing to his forum. Any one of our PR groups could've passed on some cash to keep it going and develop it but did they

Went to the Midland last year. The year before that and the year before that. It's got progressively worse since. We got off the M6, last year, and queued for an hour to get to Weston Park. We queued for a further 2 hours to get into Weston Park because the stewards don't know how to steward. Infact most of them looked as though they were ready to sit their GCSE's and most of them would've failed geography, because not one of them knew where the campsite was. Consequently we were re-rooted through 3 entrances and forced to queue at every one to be told we were in the wrong queue and would
