  1. By the time they react the damage will be done. Get some handouts of your own! Countryside Alliance. Again though by the time they react the damage will be done.
  2. Print out some facts from this site... http://www.supportfoxhunting.co.uk ... and get your kids to hand them out to their class mates.
  3. No it didn't help but to be honest, Tom, the level of negativity shown is sign of the endemic problems within the fieldsport community. I'm as guilty as the next man. I genuinely believe that if we continue at the current rate any remaining fieldsports, we have, will be consigned to the history books. This can be avoided but either people are pursuing their own agenda or aren't really bothered at all. No. I don't absolve myself from blame. Mistakes were made but as per usual instead of trying to find the answers the abuse comes thick and fast. If the original poll was such a matter of conc
  4. The topics were merged because of the same pissing contest in two threads... I really can't see what the issue is. No one has been accused of anything (except TSA being accused of being the new messiah) so I can't see what is the fu*king problem. It appears that the poll was lost in the merge. Very sorry about that but it was pretty fu*king weak at 54 votes from the then 8205 members. Anyone waiting for a sudden rush of late voting will be sadly disappointed. I've been away for a couple of days and come back to read this... it's public thread. Everyone can read it. 191 posts with 3237
  5. Hiya Deker! Sorry I missed this one first time around... It's purely a long range rabbiting tool. It was bought as a power/consistency experiment and it's working very well in the Cheshire area!
  6. Personally I think this is the best pre-charged rifle on the market. I prefer it to the mighty Rapid 7. I had one of these on test and I couldn't fault it. It was flawless. There were reports of leaky cylinders. I can't say I was ever effected but I've not heard any current reports of such. I would have this rifle over any pre-charged rifle currently available.
  7. Wages in pest control are generally on the lower end of the scale... I wonder how long it will take for a rodent epidemic to shift that?
  8. For the love of all that is holy can we have one thread that doesn't descend in the pits of Hades?
  9. Weils Disease??? Bubonic Plague anyone?
  10. Ian's probably the best one to answer that.
  11. Tom! Your insight is always welcome especially when fieldsports politics is concerned. Maybe I'm wrong here but the proposals didn't appear to be setting TSA up as a saviour figure. He struck me as someone genuinely frustrated with our official bodies, wanting to get into the thick of it, and having no where to start but this forum. Is that not what this place is for? The apathy was aimed more at this forum in general. 8000+ members and 54 votes on a poll that was based on who's in what group. Take the personal issue aside and that is total apathy. Especially as this forum has far
  12. I appreciate the concerns of all involved. If his credibility is the only issue then at least hear his ideas out because he does have a point. We need unity. Either through the support of an existing group or the formation of another. I'd propose a sub-forum, here, that concentrates on these issues alone. Where people can voice these concerns and hash out quality ideas to tackle a very real problem. If people want to get involved, off the field to improve our chances, then they should be given a platform to do so. Sorry but reading this thread I wouldn't be surprised if TSA wan
  13. Someone passionately wants to help safeguard fieldsports. On a hunting forum that should be encouraged. Instead he's pulled down in a multi post extravaganza. This isn't aimed at anyone in particular but in a time when we should be uniting we have yet another public thread where we're all falling out... This pattern is being repeated throughout The Hunting Life. With the bickering now outnumbering the hunting we can only wonder whether there is an agenda at work?
  14. Would such a thread come with body armour?
  15. You really need to put these in the shooting forums...
  16. Not a lot we can tell you until you can give us a price range. Air rifles range from £30 to a couple of grand. Second hand guns fall in between that and the quality, and legality, various considerably. Have a browse in the local gun shop and ask if you can see a few, in the flesh... some will have a decent range of second hand stock and it will give you an idea of what's what.
  17. That's superb advice. Go to a gun shop and pick a few up. See how they feel, weight, balance and how they sit in your shoulder. It'll tell you more about your circumstances than any book or forum ever could.
  18. Eastern cultures think we're scum because we eat pig. The only issue I have is whether it's done humanely although it's highly unlikely I'll be tucking into a St Bernard any time soon.
  19. Steady CC you'll be a moderator in no time!
  20. Seems like a pretty pro-active way of protecting your rights to me.
