Too light on their feet to play rugby, you mean.

Does anyone else find it ironic that in a time when the media is calling for the death sentence against paedophiles they're taking bolder steps by sexualising children? This girl is a teenager. With this sort of exposure I'll be amazed if she isn't doing a Britney in a few years. Millions of dollars and living a lifestyle that is anything but normal. She might turn out normal but show me a child star that has. The sad thing, I think, is how this effects the rest of the teenage girls that look up to her. With this being pushed earlier and earlier, even to the extent of some of the depar

My only grumble, with BSA rifles, was the S10 magazine. It was fiddly if you've got less dexterity than the average pianist. I would buy one but if it's based around the S10 magazine I'll give it a miss because I'll never get on with it.

I can see why people would be put off in this situation but it's a necessary part of pest control. Rabbits are a serious agricultural pest and cause a substantial amount of crop damage every year. I know a lot of the sportsmen honour the breeding seasons but for me this is a 365 day a year job. I can't afford to sentimental when it comes feeding my family at the expense of theirs. You're offering a necessary service. Without people like us rabbit damage would increase even more significantly than it has. This would push up the price of food. This means that the high costs of living would i

Yes. While it's rare if we don't honour the seasons then, year by year, we do ourselves out of our sport. Respect your quarry. There is no law I'm aware of that says you can't use an air rifle to take game birds. Game laws state times of day and times of year when they can't be taken but it doesn't mention methods. The scatter gun boys will cry ethics but that's just elitism. If your equipment is up to the job and you're within the law there is no issue. That's one I'm not aware of. Can you tell us where you heard that? To support what John has already said it might be worth

Most of it has already been said. Spend as much time as you can justify, on the new land, when you finally get to lamping it you'll want to make sure you know where that barbed wire fence, or unmarked grave, is. The more you know about where you're shooting the better prepared you'll be and the less you'll leave to chance. Proper and Prior Planning Prevent Piss Poor Performance.

Does the Ultra use the S10, 10 shot, mag?

They leave the factory with as much power as they can so they don't go over 12ft/lbs with any pellet. Each one will chrono differently depending on the pellet used but they should all be legal. They'll tell you 11.5 but it will vary depending on the slug.

S16's had issues on the earlier models but all the creases were ironed out. If you're not having any problems with it why change it? If it works, for you, and you're getting results why change it? Harrier's are fine rifles. They compete directly with the Air Arms S410. If you change you'll lose shot capacity but you'll gain extra shots on the magazine. Have a think whether it's what you want. Definitely try one before you buy one as you may not like it.

I won't bullshit. It's not the easiest thing to do and alot will depend on the local authority he's applying to. I've found knowing what your talking about helps, as does having neighbouring land with a knock on problem. I have managed to sub contract a bit of work this way, in the past, and it can be quite profitable. I went to the council, representing my clients, and told them it needed sorting. I was ignored for a couple of months but I persisted. In the end I met with the environmental health officer, who surveyed their problem, and as their own pest controllers weren't in a position

Agree with comanche, Ditch and woodga. I see the Nooski as a step backward. I'm all for quick and humane kills but this device appears to be neither. I'd need far more convincing before I ever shelled any cash out for one. Interestingly their website http://www.nooski.com no longer appears to show the demonstration video. It was that video that put me off.

I disagree. If you can approach them with a language they understand they can be quite accommodating. As Ditch said, learn about the 54 Pests Act, before contacting the council's environmental health department. Approach it as though you're a professional rather than a sportsmen. Your local council have a legal obligation to control any vermin on their land. They might not be aware of the problem and even if they are won't usually act until someone has melted the phone with complaints. If Logun is providing a pest control service to the neighbouring land, and approaches the council abo

As simply as I can explain it an authorised person is anyone with written permission from the land occupier to do the job. A general license can only be used when there is a real threat to public health and safety. Either through attacks (gulls) or through their droppings. Also if you're shooting with an airgun it's an offence for the pellets to leave the property. Any further elaboration would get really legally technical.

If you bought one now you'd get a penny change out of forty quid. Well worth the money.

No difference in quality for the FAC. I personally don't like the S10, but they're as reliable in FAC as they are in standard.
-
Sounds like a bargain. TDR is shorter in the stock than the carbine or standard rifle, so put it in your shoulder to see if it feels alright. Also get it chronographed to make sure it's legal.

Anything over 12 ft/lbs will be classed as a firearm. Even if it's 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001. Factory rifles are set up so they can't go over 12ft/lbs, however with amateur gunsmiths there is no guarantee. Buy a chronograph. They cost as little as £40. The police are carrying them and so should you. If your gun is over and you get caught they will make an issue over it. If you buy a gun and you don't check it, it's your fault not that of the guy that sold it to you.
-
Do you have any permission on any of the adjoining land? The council will be more likely to return your correspondence if you're performing a vermin control service on neighbouring property, and their land is contributing to an ongoing problem. If you approach it as vermin control, rather than sport, you'll probably get more response.

Drinks can will work but could mark your scope depending on how you've cut it. Camera negative won't compress but it won't mark it either. It's very stable and I've used it often enough to trust it.

Having had similar problems, Ditch, there is only one guaranteed cure that I will recommend. Complete Re-Install. Windows Firewall and AVG are ample protection but a pop-up blocker is a must as this is how a lot of the shit gets on in the first place. Also I use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer and it has customisable options that have ad blockers and all sorts of stuff. Following that process and not opening any pop-ups has seen me drop from monthly to annual maintenance.

Having the barrel threaded shouldn't cost more than £20. You will lose your foresight but you'll have a much better range of silencers to go at.

Get in touch with your local police station. Tell them what you're after and what you want to do and they'll be the best people to advise you on the requirements for your area.
