  1. Heard ya loud and clear then, mate! And I agree. Like I replied to you that can only happen if our respective governments are willing to lower the costs of running business and the price that the consumer is willing to pay. Everyone hates price gouging but it's an interesting study into how much something is worth when it's value suddenly increases. A company selling surgical masks, bottled water, and hand sanitzer in the last few months could charge 1000 times what they did the middle of last year. When the perceived crisis ends so will the amount that people are willing to pay fo
  2. Posted this one on the other thread...
  3. Depends which insurance company you ask. In the 70's Ford introduced the Pinto in the States. They compromised safety with efficiency and profit maximization. The result was a cheaper made petrol tank that was found to explode on low impact collisions. It was $11 cheaper than a tank that wouldn't. Where it got worse was that they weighed the cost of a recall against the cost of an insurance claim from a dead/injured customer's family. They weighed that insurance claims would be the cheapest option and left the car in circulation refusing the recall. The cost per life in this case was $11.
  4. Posted on the Corona Vaccine thread... It's not man made. It's not caused by 5G.
  5. Amazon. I've since bought it I was that impressed!
  6. The coronavirus is not man made. EDIT: The coronavirus is not caused by 5G.
  7. I wonder if their essential service permission letters are written in Columbian?
  8. Absolutely mate! The fact that vaccines are as contentious as they are just shows what a paradigm shift we've seen in the digital age. These people have enough traction that some of them are actually in some of the most powerful positions of influence in the world and the length and breadth of their scientific/medical training stops at internet influencer. Short term is naive. Long term it's extremely dangerous.
  9. Indeed but the reality is that we're months off a vaccine and this virus is extremely contagious and killing in days. The hope with antibody treatments is that there will be are far many more who have recovered from the virus and will contain the antibodies. With the handling of the PPE issue this could lower the risk of the front line staff treating this, no? It's not a perfect solution by any means but it takes several years to train doctors and nurses but with their front line exposure it's killing them in weeks. If this keeps anyone alive and is viable on a kind of mass roll out it's
  10. I have no knowledge whether it's truthful or not. It was in the Mail and they've run with it. If there is a rebuttal to it I haven't read it yet and even if it is successful in a dozen people it would still need further testing and sh*t ton more research. Here's a better source published in Nature and a link to the study that's still in preprint. I trust very little that isn't backed by copious R&D and lashings of evidence which is why I used the word hope! It's a damn site better than a bunch of tw*ts on Facebook!
  11. That's exactly what I did. Saying that my issue with Britain was decades of mismanagement while the Ministry simultaneously had their hand in my pocket telling me to give more.
  12. Same here, mate. Tactical relocation. I didn't want to live in a sh*t hole. I didn't like the situation I was in so I changed it.
  13. Yes. Yes. The Mail has posted that blood from recovered coronavirus patients has been used to save the lives of 12 people. Apparently the blood contains antibodies and has saved the lives of a dozen people. It'll need further research and more testing but the word is hope.
  14. Good call! If you get the chance try the Elijah Craig Small Batch if you haven't already!
  15. You'd be surprised! Saying that in the uncertain times .338 Lapua is the ultimate in social distancing!
  16. True! We could spend days listing it and it's more to while away the time than anything else. There can't be a man here that hasn't got an opinion on it and I'd love to read them!
  17. LA County Gun Stores Now Listed As Essential Business Following Federal Memo Against Local Closure.
  18. No surprise. A lot of stores here are refusing the return of paper products and hand sanitizer making the panic buyers, ironically, wipe up their own sh*t!
  19. Of course! Same boat this end. I've had the discussion on numerous occasions with lads from America, Canada, and Mexico. It's been really interesting to hear the Mexican perspective from where some of them have grown up. One of the Bosnian lads from our northern branch had some insight too! It's amazing how working class lads from all backgrounds agree on many issues. I'd devolve it into regions dealing with regional issues. National level's primary concern should be with the miltary (national security and emergencies) and foreign policy. This where I'm an advocate for removin
