That is a problem but there are a lot of smart MP's. They're the ones you don't know a great deal about. They don't rock the boat, and they do just enough to remain electable. They quietly drift along and take a pretty decent salary for doing pretty much f**k all. Sure you can work somewhere else and make a lot of money. But an MP can make money without having to work...

She's in the job because she's a career politician in it with other career politicians. The reason stupid people are in these positions is because we either elect stupid people or refuse to put enough time into figuring how not to get stupid people elected. It's actually quite reflective of society as a whole.

I went from 3 million neighbours, to ,000, and finally down to 600. It took the best part of a decade from decision to implementing the plan, and I've moved a lot more than I'd like to, but I made it to exactly where I want to be. The only way I'm leaving this place is in a box! It's a big step but after an honest evaluation can you look at everything and say "This is what I want?" If you can, that's great. If you're wanting something else you need to establish what, and carpe momentum!

If you don't like the situation, change the situation! I know immigration is a subject beaten to death on this forum but that's essentially it... People moving to improve their situation. I've done it. You've done it, and that's what we're witnessing across the globe. 30-40 years ago that wasn't much of an option. You drew out on the lottery of life, and you were limited to geography. Now if you're not happy with the hand you're dealt you can change it. Vote with your feet.
