  9. They mentioned the large reduction in hare numbers BUT what they didn"t say was that this has happened since coursing was made illegal and that now they are being shot in hundreds rather than preserved in areas where legal coursing took place

  13. Thats good news mate am well chuffed for you
  14. Pretty certain that with time that will heal, may need some stitching to hold it together but the body"s natural healing processes will repair the damage. It will need rest to allow it to repair but the muscle fibers will repair themselves and it may leave some scaring to the tissue and of course your dog will generally lose condition as you will NOT be able to exercise him but once repair has taken place you can soon bring him back. But with proper care and rest and then rehabilitation he should be fine but don"t expect it to happen over night and dont rush it.
  15. Nice little bit of footage as you say a bit more practice and wait and see!!!!
  16. Hot air balloons and helicopters, lurcher bitch will spot either of these miles off.
  17. Well done that man lets you know there are still some good folk out there, keep us informed as to how she goes.
  18. Nice bitch will no doubt be a few heavy pups but should all make good bushers, was a popular cross when I was a lad
  19. I run peds and they do everything I want however theres plenty of both ped and non ped around that will do exactly what you want, there is a litter around at the moment of greyhound/whippet x whippet and I think there are a couple left, nothing to do with me before anybody thinks I"m promoting something myself but the sire is a little dog owned by chickens4ever off of here who is a cracking little dog and well proven as a worker.
  20. Just add I"m not trying to make a big deal over it, just curious as to why folk would do it
  21. Couldn"t agree more we all need help/advice at some time, new to the game or been at it years we can all come unstuck BUT it just puzzles me as to why somebody would go out and buy a pup AND THEN start asking questions on feed etc, wouldn"t it make more sense to ask that sort of thing BEFORE you got the pup home.
  22. Yes we can all have concerns, worries, problems etc and I"m not saying theres anything wrong with asking questions as thats how we all learn BUT some seem to take a pup on and have no idea as to what to feed, how often etc (basic stuff) I just feel that some of this very basic stuff should be asked/researched before you start.
  23. Why is it that so many people take on a pup THEN come on sites like this and start asking what should I feed it,how do I train it,will it be all right living outside etc. I know there can be some genuine concerns that arise after you"ve got your pup but wouldn"t you think that folk would have done some basic research BEFORE they went out and bought a new pup. Makes you wonder what sort of dog owners there going to be and even if they"ll still have the dog by the time it reaches a year old.
