  6. would normally use two but the other polcat ferret is blind.anyone worked a blind ferret?i thought it was better not to but not to sure if ferrets use there eyes under ground anyway.the two warrens were only two holers but both holes were about 10yrds apart from each other.another question.the ground was pretty sandy and i was geting a mark at 5ft but the thumping only seemed to be right under my feet.Do you think the finder was out or the vibrations were traveling through the tunnels?i cant wait to have her out again and she now is starting to follow me when i call her.we were stopped by the
  7. this seasons ferreting was looking bleak untill a few weeks back i got a young polcat jill which was about 14 -15 weeks old.i had her out on sunday for her second time ferreting and she performed very well.out of the two warrens we ferreted she bolted three (the third came to the entrance of the hole and went back to ground )and i think she killed one by the looks of the amount of fur on her claws.it took a good 1 and a half hours for the first two to bolt due to the dogs making abit of noise and there was a down wind from behind us to the entrance of the warren ,but she kept with the job and

  22. Last night me and my dad decided to have a go at the rabbit population as the wind had picked up and the sky was full with light rain.our lamping equipment was gathered into the car and we were away just before 12:00.the first field revealed a handfull of rabbits then we soon spotted one squatting ,bramble was slipped and an exciting course unfolded.Up and down the hedgerow bramble struck carelesly and over shot ,but she was back onto her rabbit and pushed it away from the hedge for a nice pick up.on the next rabbit she used her experiance and after a little course put the 2nd rabbit in the ba
