  2. thanks for that people i did think it myself but couldnt remember how big an 8 week old kit looked.how much bigger do you think she will get ? so i shall have her out in a few weeks passing her through a couple small warrens , so now the new season looks a little more promising ,she passes through the pipes well and is a great climber,a little more handling just yet and i need to get her used to the dog.it looks like i'll be clearing away and cleaning up most of the warrens in the next couple of days ready for when we venture out together.thanks again good hunting rew
  3. heres a few pics of the new jill ferret was told she was about 8 weeks a week ago but they didnt seem pretty sure so what age would you guess she is?im getting her used to being handled as on the first day she got hold of the baby sisters finger but shes coming on well and doesnt attempt to bite now .will get her out and run her through a few 2 or 3 holers in about 3weeks time . good hunting rew

  11. "very few rabbits" then again i bet there was a few in here. does anyone know what these are for?we saw a few bigger ones so expected them to be for the sheep but these ones were probabley about 10" high 4"wide hope you enjoyed the pics good hunting rew
  12. last week i went camping with my dad in cumbria for a few nights.we actually camped right next to ullswater lake in patterdale.we had a few walks accompanied with bramble up some of the many hills and mountains which surrounded the spectacular countryside around there.the biggest walk we did was the 4.5miles hike up to sheffield pike which is situated at the top of one of the mountains,this took us about 2hours walking over the rocky terrain to reach the top where we sparked up our energy with a boost chocolate bar as we scanned the beautifull views looking down into the vally.I didnt spend mu

  15. nice one WH storm did very well last night on the couple rabbits he ran and took that squatter like a pro,sometimes i wish bramble would do the same as it can certainly help put a few in the bag.well im looking forward to our next night out with storm as he's certainly coming on great.a credit to you.keep at the training like im sure your doing and storm should provide you with some great sport. good hunting rew

  21. thats not a bad size ,is it a hob mate.the reason i asked the question is because i was reading an article in the countrymans from 1997 about "greyhound ferrets" he said the biggest he has saw was 27 inch long ,now that is a big ferret.he also said that the best way to know if a ferrets a greyhound ferret is two make a circle with your thumb and index finger and if the ferret passes through it ,its a greyhound ferret (now thats a thin ferret).anyone else heard about this. good hunting rew

  24. just wondering do you think it would be easier to take 100 summer bunnies or 100 winter bunnys.im not sure which one would be easiest because in the summer eventhough there are alot of green rabbits ,the temperature is alot warmer and there is less darkness but in winter there are more stronger rabbits making it harder for you dog to catch but you will have alot more dark hours and it would be alot cooler.so what time of the year would be best suited for the 100 rabbits a night.im not saying i would go catching that amount summer bunnies obviously only a couple to feed the ferrets and dog.chee
