Firstly mate,Mir was a 19 year old kid with very little experience when freeman beat him ,secondly, regarding the mir/sylvia fight,a knockout is a knockout a broken arm is a broken arm.....many times when a fighter is knocked out he would willingly get up 10 seconds later and carry on the fight....no different to sylvia having his arm broken, sometimes a fighter needs to be protected against his own courage/gameness/adrenalin and thats what referees are for so to say a broken arm isnt good enough reason for a ref to stop a fight is like saying a ref should let someone carry on beating down on a
  2. Exactly my point...lets discuss race, just as long as we dont offend blacks or browns !! you cant have it both ways mate...ok you want to discuss gypsies on this occasion, but if i wanted to discuss blacks on the next occasion i wouldnt get 3 words out before the racism card was being thrown at me,and you know it ! Like the other post about gypsies on this board at the moment,if that same language was being used about blacks or browns there would be uproar. Its always the same,we can talk about race as long as we dont offend the poor oppressed blacks and browns. You got one thing right, best not

think the young man on your avitar had a lucky escape from mir myself,if you wasnt impressed with the speed and the ease in which mir dispatched the current world heavyweight champion it must take a lot to impress you !

The Croatian had a fearsome look about him..as you guys say though, seems to be more about strikers now. Lutter was well disappionted. dont think thats the case, just happened to be the way it was on that particular card thats all, other times theres been mainly subs on the floor, thats just the way it fell at ufc67. think its a bad move myself couture taking on sylvia,a small heavyweight taking on one of the biggest ever heavyweights, especially at his age. still like to see frank mir regain full fitness but maybe his time has been and gone unfortunately, think he would have beat croco
  5. Unbelievable how a question like this can be spoken about so freely these days...myself ive no problem with any travelling lads or lasses anywhere, ive a few pals, been involved with a few lasses, all were travellers/gypsies however you want to word it. What gets my goat is this...what would happen if i posted a question asking " how many of you all like niggers "...or " how many of you all like pakis"....there would be uproar.... I recently went to a game...southend were playing and you would not believe the stick freddy eastwood got from the crowd...as footie supporters we are constantly bein
  6. what sort of money you looking for mate ?
  7. just get one for people and board the sides mate....still not cheap mind, you,ll pay 6/700+ for anything over about 12 mph, then again you,ll never fully open up a dog on an electric mill anyway so why not just get one for a few hundred that will go up to 6mph
  8. wouldnt agree that you need plenty of money...like anything else,it depends what end of the scale your aiming at...if your racing at a low grade then not all that expensive...higher end of the scale is higher money of course but thats like anything. agree though great sport.
  9. but £200 interesting ???
  10. it cant be surely ? ... thought id have a look through some books....sod that ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:MEWA:IT&ih=009
  11. thats easy enough mate grey = 50% collie = 25% beddie = 12.5% saluki =12.5%
  12. im inclined to agree with this statement....would a breeder of lurchers never inbreed on a quality dog ?...for instance if a 3/8 5/8 bull x for example showed to be a real good dog, would a breeder never breed him to a succesful sister, thus keeping the same % obviously but just doubling up on what created the good dog?or is this not the done thing in lurchers.
  13. It's always been worked out in fractions gnasher16,for example a first cross is never reffered to as 50% collie and 50% greyhound,it's always half collieand half greyhound. It's easier to work out the breeding in fractions the more different breeds you have in the mix, as you just go from halfs to quarters to eights and even sixteenths. For example.....1/4 saluki..3/8 greyhound...1/16 bedlington...1/16 collie..1/8 deerhound..1/8 bull. would be..25% salukie..37.5%greyhound..6.25% bedlington..6.25% collie..12.5%deerhound.12.5% bull. I don't know about you but I think with the fra
  14. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what 3/8 and 5/8 are as percentages....and if possible how you work it out... Is there any reason why lurcher breeding is spoken of in fractions rather than percentages ? cheers
  15. he probably didnt mean any disrespect by saying it but i think hattons got some nerve saying this....mayweather and de la hoya are proven legends who have fought and beat the best over many years...who has hatton beat? a washed up kosta tsyu and a washed up ben tackie...when he moved up in weight for the big bucks he was made to look average by a very average fighter and quickly moved back down where he feels safe, and then struggles against a very limited opponent in urango....and next is likely to fight another opponent at a very late stage in his career in castillo... Hatton has been very w
  16. Being new to the hounds i have a few questions...1 to be getting on with is this...... Is their any visible difference(either in photos or in the flesh) between a small greyhound and a large whippet ? Ive seen some of these whippets upwards of 21/22 "...and seen some greyhounds down around 24 "...this only in pictures i should add ! Alternatively,if you had a grey/whippet 50/50 cross, would this be visibly different to either extremes of size of a pure grey or pure whippet ?
  17. hattons fight is around 2am....at 9/2 urango is a good bet...he,s unbeaten but hasnt fought in great company before...personally i think hattons habit of blowing right up between fights will catch up with him in the end, maybe tonight ...! hope not but he looked real drawn at the weigh in,the other fella looked good.
  18. hope im not jumping out the frying pan into the fire here im not an impulse shopper so i,ll hang around and ask questions and try and learn before making bad decisions. thanks to all for the help and advice so far.
  19. "gratitude and honour" .....theres some words you dont see much nowadays, especially around the dog scene ! jigsaw im afraid you are looked at as old fashioned and past it nowadays if you have morals....todays new breed of dogman think they have made achievements when, and only when....they no longer need to work for a living !
  20. It was a joke yes, sorry as it seemed to fly over your head,i wouldnt have a clue about the testicle problem as im brand new to this breed. Many thanks for the helpful replies, seems some decent people involved with this breed which is going to make a great change and be so refreshing from another breed i wont mention where the bullshit lies and egos is just becoming too much to take anymore. I repeat what others have said these look some fine animals pictured above...i like the look of that black dog, this is still a kc reg dog? My only worry with kennelling one of these was that they just lo
  21. Thanks again to those who have replied Am i right in thinking "laguna" or "nimrodel" are kennels as opposed to actual bloodlines? what i mean is,in pit bulls for instance...a jeep dog is a line named after a dog....a mayfield dog is named after a man who specialises in a certain family of dogs....etc etc Does this apply to these lines or are the names simply the kennels who bred them regardless of the family/line of dog they are from. At a guess what is the average size of a coursing type whippet. The outdoor thing i dont see being an issue with a nice warm heatlamp so ive got my head roun
  22. many thanks again for the replies...would somebody be able to point me the right way into doing a spot of research on these lines....im interested in a kc racing/coursing type if possible...what are the lines called? where can i found out about them ? what is the average size of a racing/coursing type...some ive seen seem real delicate..but then again i havent seen many. thanks for all the help.
  23. many thanks for the replies chaps...whilst on the subject, would someone kindly tell me if a kc reg whippet can still work/race...or is it like most other breeds where the working ability of kc dogs has been ruined. do 100 per cent whippets make good working dogs as opposed to crosses... sorry for all the questions, just im looking into fresh interests and would like to have half an idea what its all about before jumping in feet first...thanks again for replies.
  24. Could anyone tell me if it is ok to keep whippets kennelled outdoors and do they need any special conditions in winter, heat lamp etc ?...been told they do not adapt well to outdoor living..anyone got an opinion?
  25. wow....its real good to see people speaking from the heart without some prick jumping up screaming " racism" it may be stating the obvious but for many years now ive thought it best to stop voting for parties that are too frightened to end this shit...these people come here because my and your country allow them to,even welcome them...my and your government will not do anything to stop it as we fear being classed racially prejudice after all,we want to be everyones best friends dont we now this might get me stones hurled my way but i,ll take the risk.....this country needs some seriou
