Better in a one off match or better over a long season ? I think in a one off game yes they are technically superior.....over a long hard season no i dont think Barcelona or Real Madrid could win our premier league on the regular basis Man Utd/Chelsea do.....i think folk underestimate just what it takes to go away to Bolton/Stoke/Blackburn etc on a cold wet Tuesday evening....Arsenal have proved over the last few years they are not comfortable doing that and they are laced with these frilly technically great players,personally i think Barcelona would struggle in our league in exactly the same

I think its more a case of the men in charge up there know that if Celtic/Rangers came down here it would put an end to Scottish football and it would virtually become a national sunday league. Personally id love them to come down,not to shut you jocks up once and for all,but simply because i accept they are 2 very big football clubs and if they could reach the premier league they could make it even more competetive.

No thats fair comment i take your point....but i still think to write Beckham off the way you do is wrong,whether you think he,s the best or not theres no denying he,s one of the best. How many full games did you see him play ? or did you just watch the odd highlights.....shit dont take it from me take it from your man Fergie.....said at his peak he was the greatest player of the generation he played. Gazza was a genius yes.....for a short time,does that make him a better player than a player at the top for a long time consistently playing to a high level....not in my book....infact id put Bryan Robson way above Gazza.

Spot on ....only in a country as f****d up as this is their people who are more interested in the tiny weaknesses of a man than the massive strengths.....they gain fame and fortune through their skill and talent but then people want to forget about that and desperately try to uncover some pathetic little bit of scandal to drag them down with. I havent looked on this thread as Walter Smiths a manager i dont know too much about but having clicked on the last page i see yous are onto the old leagues bashing debate again Why on earth a Scot would have the cheek to knock the English premier league is beyond me .....i dont see any reason to think Walter Smith couldnt have done well down here,infact just as well as any of the other Scots who have been succesful.....but to think he would have automatically done great just because of his success up there is ridiculous......and that can be said about everything,theres no reason to think

Id keep Parker and the young academy boys....and let the rest go,but realistically we,ve just got to cash in we cant expect Parker,Green,Cole,Bridge and a few others to stay......just as long as we keep the youngsters.

Nice ...had a place just outside Costa Adeje in Tenerife a few years back but didnt use it enough to make it worth keeping....used to get all sorts of mad looking lizards round the place.

Im not joking Wilf,the man looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights half the time....the part of the ground im in is about 20 yards above and to the left of the dugout....as you say this can be a pretty brutal place when things dont go well and he would just look petrified !.....he just wasnt the type of character for a club like this from day 1 and neither was Zola.....being nice fellas just dont cut it.

There you go Wilf....you,ve smashed the nail on the nut with this statement Id rather lose Parker,Green,Upson etc than lose the likes of Noble,Collison,Tomkins,Hines as they are the core of the clubs future.....little Mark Noble is hero worshipped at Upton Park yet he,s not a great player he,s just an honest talented local kid out of the flats living his dream which is playing for West Ham. Theres only 5 grounds in all 4 divisions ive never been to and Doncaster is one of them so if nothing else it will be an experience....ive tried to latch onto bigger clubs when i was younger mate i just cant do it this clubs in my blood,so with that you have to take what comes with it....Evertons a ground i always enjoy visiting you scousers know your sport and your just as passionate as we are so i,ll miss those trips....hopefully it wont be too long
