Baws right i think with Messi apart from his obvious high level of ball skill he has great basic qualities as well.....simple things like a real desire to play in every game....great physical toughness for such an intricate little performer.............I dont think Maradona had anywhere near the mental quaities of Messi in todays game there would be too many distractions for him.....he made average teams great and was a great player but i wouldnt put him in the top 4 or 5 of all time id put Messi Ronaldo Pele Best all above Maradona..............................................................

My ol fella was ex raf he bought me and my brother toy aeroplanes one year ......we lived in a block of flats at the time after playing football with them for a few hours we slung them out the window,needless to say they didnt fly !............Next year we got a football Evil Kinevel and Grifters ....flash c**ts !

Im not 100% but if my memory serves me right pre Douglas, Foremans comeback wasnt seen as anything more than a novelty (all the fighting preacher stuff )........so it wasnt really a serious option ......then having lost to Douglas Tyson was being accused of ducking Razor Ruddock on his comeback who was seen as the more dangerous opponent.......had he fought Foreman he would of been accused of ducking Ruddock and vice cersa....as it turned out he fought Ruddock around the same time Foreman fought Holyfield.....Tyson won Foreman lost so the fight lost its appeal.................sometimes fights

Personally i dont think Tyson bit him out of frustration i think he bit him because getting disqualified was in his eyes better than quitting !...........He knew the fight was going in the same direction as the first and saw it as a more " butch " way of getting out of the fight than quitting on his feet..........if it was pure blind frustration why do it a second time.

Having a succesful fighting father is an absolute no win situation most of the time............you will always have certain traits of your father be it looks or style and people will naturally compare........but unless you are better than him you will always be a failure in peoples eyes........i sympathise with any fighter trying to make his way in the game with a father whos already made his mark ...it can open doors but is still a tough burden to carry !

Was he an all time great no..................but he had more character in his little finger than a lot of these lads about today.

What do you mean by Bruno wasnt a good boxer ?................What was he then a footballer ? Not sure how you can say Tyson handpicked his fights he fought what was out there....which admittedly wasnt much in comparison to other eras......i think he was probably the most overated heavyweight in history,but he didnt duck anyone.

You could say that about most heavyweights.....when 15+ stone hits you flush your likely to go.......what put Tyson above most was his speed in getting there which made him so spectacular..............if its the old boxer v puncher argument id go with the boxer every time.....but your right Tyson did great with the tools he had.

He looks like a fighter who has learned all the moves in front of a mirror....technically he looks great but as anyone whos been in a ring knows the first thing to come apart when your under pressure is technique !......His old mans success was based on an incredible chin....if he,s inherrited that then great good luck.....if he hasnt does he have enough of everything else.....im not sure,certainly seems to lack power.

Dont think the 3 knockdown rule is used at all anymore but wouldnt swear to it.......it was brought in to compensate for a bad referee or save a fighter from himself.....but it was bollocks......I remember when Nigel Benn went to america to fight Barklay he knew he would struggle to knock him out as he was a tough guy but he could get him down 3 times no problem......and thats exactly how the fight went.....Barklay wasnt badly hurt..........same with Bonecrusher Smith when he fought Witherspoon came out and put him down 3 times through brute force Witherspoon wasnt even hurt,it was a silly rul

Fantastic.......no i dont see why he would have to win a world cup......Pele won world cups but never played at the highest level in club football......Maradona i wouldnt put in the same league as Messi..............Ive said for a few years now Ronaldo and Messi are the best players ive ever seen live........and still not sure i could split them but Messi,s record will probably put him out in front now.

how would you have rated tyson at his best among this bunch at theyre best .ali larry homes .foreman earnie shavers .joe louis .max schmelling and jack johnson .i think each and every one of these fighters at theyre peak would have stopped him I agree.....infact id add a few more to that list ......i dont like the term pound for pound....but if you take sheer size out of it id add Dempsey for pure savagery.....Liston for brute force.....Frazier for tenacity.....maybe even Ken Norton.............Tyson just didnt have enough boxing ability i think all being equal a good 10 - 12 heavyweights

Good job ive only seen this after the game Stan or i might of put my foot in it Thought we deserved a point but such is life......the only comfort is it took 3 ex Hammers to score against us !!..........during the drowning of our sorrows afterwards i told one of my pals to look up who we played this weekend last year.......we won 1 nil at home to Barnsley !!............so watching the likes of Liverpool at The Boleyn again,beating Chelsea last week........we,ll take the rough with the smooth no problem

I dont like it either........the difference between todays and yesterdays prospects is back years ago your fighting is what created your image......today they want to create an image before they have done anything in a boxing ring !!............The 3 you mentioned Benn Eubanks Bruno were not really in the spotlight of the general public until 20 odd fights into their careers................today the likes of Degale Fury and the Eubank boy are big news and creating their own image when they havent done anything in a boxing ring yet !!...........I find the Eubank boy cringeworthy his ol man neve

Cracking little tear up......i thought Marquez came in with a great plan he was so much stronger and heavier handed than their other fights he knew he couldnt match Pacquiao for speed so didnt try to.............Pacquiao thought he could walk through his punches and over confidence got him nailed. His future now will depend on what hunger he has left for the game.

I think its a good idea......after the last Poland/Ukraine carry on a game in Italy then a game in France will seem like a trot up the road !!..............Besides,its about football not tourism....................its worth trying anyway.

Doesnt matter what the weight division is......... fighting a bigger opponent will always be a disadvantage............if Calzaghe could of made middleweight,believe me....he would have !..............works the same across the board....................the fact there are so few fighters between 200 - 210.....is pretty self explannatory really.
