Definately mate.....i hate it......i dont really know why it is........its almost as though the gentlemans noble art respectfullness is being replaced by yob culture................i remember a time when you wouldnt see women at boxing anywhere in the country,today theres as many women as men its a bit like football i suppose as in its become a bit trendy to have a night out and a sing song/knees up at the boxing......where years ago like i say around ringside would be full of ex fighters and well known faces of the day.......................like anything i suppose its bums on seats that matte

It's hard to believe hammers are finishing mid table. They were playing pure shite before xmas. Went and watched them before xmas my in laws local team. To be fair I no big SAMs not popular but he has don't not to bad with the players he has. The board prob done right thing sticking him out for the season. As a pure boxing fan the York Hall is hard to beat for atmosphere.......as a fighter its near impossible to beat for atmosphere......but for casual fans and the football crowd who just want a sing song and a knees up its probably not the best venue as it only holds less than 1500 people..........the atmosphere is within the place itself,even the walk up the steps outside gets your pulse racing................part of the atmosphere as a fighter is that you are trying to live up to whats gone before you,within a mile of York Hall is at least 3 top pro gyms and 3 top amateur gyms so the area brea

Ive got a bunch of nutty Scouser mates coming down tomorrow......for the first time ever i,ll be happy for them to take the 3 points being that my little Hammers are all safe and tidy mid table ....ive always had a soft spot for Liverpool so dont want to see them drop points at this stage.......still cant see anyone other than City taking the title though.

I could give you a list of legitimate world champions out of the East End............and if you want to add contenders to the list as well......................................but i just cant be arsed to be honest.....i dont think i need to prove what the East End has done for British boxing......anyone who has even a little bit of knowledge on the sport already knows

What is atmosphere Max ?......Noise ?...................I can walk into the backyard of the Bricklayers Arms and watch 2 rough boys fight for 50 quid and get an atmosphere like that..............atmosphere is about more than just noise....... Im probably a bit biased towards the York Hall as i fought there myself a few times,but many fighters who have fought there will say the same,its a special place.......ive been in there when its full up.....and near silent !!!..........it is a scarey intimidating atmosphere as a fighter,you know there is knowledgable eyes on you up close,you know the

You are trying to compare domestic fighters with world champions !!!!..................If you cant see how ridiculous that is then you are clearly too lost to work it out ! Of course there are other parts of Britain.......but Hartlepool comes way down the list when it comes to boxing talent........ive been all round the country over the years and met hundreds of different people involved at all levels of the sport,ive never heard anyone talk about Hartlepool as a specific area for boxing talent.....ever !........................so again,to compare it to the East End is just being silly.

I saw the fight years ago yes it was a good little scrap..................but theres good little scraps taking place in small halls all round the country the only reason you are obssessed with it is because this one happened to be in Hartlepool !!!..................Go down the York Hall or hundreds of other small halls round the country you,ll see these kind of scraps every week.......thats the trouble with wearing blinkers Max you only see whats in front of you ......look around you once in a while Comparing a small hall domestic scrap at a local venue..... to a superfight in Las Vegas

Max i dont really understand this constant desire you have to compare Hartlepool to the East End of London all the time.....but some of your statements are outright bizarre and they are getting worse.....the fact you have felt the need to jump all over this thread with Hartlepool this and Hartlepool that shows a real lack of knowledge on the sport if you are seriously implying it compares to East London for boxing talent

Its amazing how an artist can capture that glint in a dogs eye......i had a few done by somebody years ago that to anyone else they looked identical,but to me having owned the dogs there was something missing and it was that certain look that only the owner would be familiar with.....................cracking pictures whoever did them is obviously very talented.

Ive realised birds couldnt give a shit what is pleasing to our eye.......they seem just as happy having a bath in a paint roller tray as an expensive purpose made bird bath from the garden centre ............my guess is the breeding season will indicate how happy they are with their surroundings.........but by the looks of it a lot of thoughts gone into them aviaries Fireman doubt theres anything more a bird could want for in there

Just tradition really mate its a piss poor area where there was never nothing to do except fight,thieve or kick a ball.......... naturally when young lads see there elders being succesful at it they strive that little bit harder to rise above the shit of their surroundings.........it was always a harsh area where nobody wanted to back down and with that competetive nature it tended to produce some good fighters........i suppose fighting is just accepted and necessary in some areas......our father was a fighter so me and my brother did it was just a natural progression........think a lot of Eas

You can walk a kid into any gym in East London with a pair of plimsolls and a vest and he,ll be taken seriously..........i presume it works the same in other areas.......get him in there mate good/bad.....win/lose.......its a positive step in any young lads development
