  1. I hate to talk bad of any ex fighter but old man Eubank really is a repugnant geezer i used to know his brother Simon many years back who was also a fighter i remember him telling me that Chris used to talk like any other scrappy lad out of Peckham but when he went to America as a young boxer he would listen to posh yanks on the radio in his 10 dollar a night bedsit and decided to start talking like them and market this image of an upper class toff......what an absolute mug !
  2. ??? oh for f**k sake Well in that case im just watching Lee Selby on this Eubank card......Selby the best featherweight since Willie Pep ? ?
  3. The second Foreman career you mean....yes quite possibly....i guess there was reason Tyson swerved him eh ?
  4. Whoever it is saying Tyson is the best fighter since Ali i couldnt disagree more.....Ali was a great fighter because he found ways to win.....every time Tyson met resistance he lost, simple as that !....id put Holyfield,Lewis possibly even Bowe at his best all above Tyson.
  5. " crap "....he is rated in the top 5 in the world......he has the fathers strength, guts and tenacity......hopefully he doesnt have the fathers ego.
  6. Id like Degale to win simply because he,s trained by Jimmy Mcdonnell but i cant help but think it would be a tragedy if the kid Eubank doesnt reach the highest level of the sport i dont think ive ever seen a fighter more naturally blessed to be a fighter he is a fantastic physical specimen, has the old mans strength and i wouldnt mind betting he,s game to the last......but his father has totally ruined him from the off in my opinion and if the fathers ego ends up costing the son a good career it will be a terrible shame for a lad who im told is a decent kid.
  7. Thats ridiculous.....we would of won that if the ref hadnt of blown for full time 10 minutes early !
  8. How easy is this we,re mullering these Welsh fairies in their own gaff......the goalkeepers dont do much do they.
  9. You mean if you dont like the way things are going then bail out ?......thats a cracking example to set the next generation, imagine if the generation before ours had done that !
  10. But then doesnt breeding and conditioning account for most of that ?......the one thing im noticing thats very different with Lurcher breeding to how Bulldogs were bred is Lurchers seem to be bred very much for short term success.....bulldogs were more about long term plans for short terms goals whereas Lurchers seem more about the here and now short term plans for short terms goals, the constant different crosses suggest theres always something missing......and maybe the thing thats missing is breeding ? Or maybe im just overthinking things ?
  11. I think different areas present different opportunities for youngsters where i grew up the average young lad left school with nothing, maybe a job down Smithfield or a few days a week at Fords but on the upside we was close to the City so you had wealth and poverty in close proximity to each other which always opens up some interesting scenarios, whereas young lads in more rural areas or more stable family backgrounds might have better structured career paths but less opportunities.......today i think youngsters have it easier in terms of learning and the knowledge thats put in front of them but
  12. I wouldnt imagine you can have too much drive but size, strength and general savagery........what are these dogs going up against crocodile ?
  13. Im new to all these crosses so far be it from me but i cant help thinking some of these dogs with a lot of bulldog in them are a bit " sledgehammer to crack a nut " type scenarios....just seems a bit like overkill to me,pardon the pun.
  14. I wouldnt say he was raised with abuse as such was he ?....i know he didnt get on with his father but McCandless did seem to just be one of those oddball types who seems to stroll through life with very few needs....i quite liked his attitude to life from the way he was presented in the book he had a bit of that do or die spirit and placed value on experiences rather than material shit.....im not sure his actual death was really from stupidity but certainly what got him to the stage leading up to it was, something to do with his map not being the correct scale and had it been correct it would h
  15. Dont know if i can take this abuse much longer ? By the way have you told everyone about that new pup you got ?....the one you pretended to me belongs to your wife ?
  16. I recently read my first ever book cover to cover and really enjoyed it so ordered the film has anybody seen it ?.....anyone got any views on the lad McCandless was he a complete idiot or a bit of a free spirit ?.....interesting story for those of you who havent heard of it.....certainly puts paid to any of my Grizzly Adams plans yet f**k it im getting meself a bit more knowledge first.
  17. Nobody takes me serious when i talk about getting a dog ?
  18. If you dont leave that full stop alone im going to come round there and rip the f****n button out with my teeth you irritating c**t
  19. You dont know my family though ?....but of course in essence you are right.
  20. Its certainly a bizarre sound to ears that are not at all musical but its not an unpleasant sound.....its always tickled me what the history is behind them i might google it later....did some jock just plot up one day and say " i wonder what it sounds like if you blow into a vacuum cleaner " ? Not to mock them by the way i think traditions great.
  21. Well that was an interesting 20 minutes.....never mind about who does what with their dogs some of yous need to work on your insults if your going to give out so many, theres nothing worse than unfunny banter it just makes it look like your trying too hard ! And just to add my irrelevance to the subject,on my experience of the chap id take Fireman on his word all day long if he says he did something then he did it.
  22. No ive never kept Lurchers and the only hunting ive done was with other peoples dogs, tagging along kind of thing. Well its tricky as its going to be an indoor pet dog as well and ive never kept a dog indoors in my life.....in all honesty i never thought id keep a dog again but recently found something out thats thrown new light on it and so over the next year or so im hoping to get myself a pal type dog either a Retriever/Pointer type or a Lurcher of some description i like the idea of a bull/whippet/grey cross but thats maybe more dog than meets my needs, like i say casually min
  23. Similar to myself i think id be quite happy with a casual mooch and possibly something for the pot during the week, but wouldnt be the end of the world if the dog caught nothing...simplicity is the goal now and the human zest for being happy in your own company with a dog by your side....watching,finding,chasing,learning.....watching a dog use all its senses scanning the horizon, just getting lost in the moment and the fulfilment of maybe getting something edible with no set plan or quarry as such.....just discovering the countryside together along with a bit of good natured foraging appeals to
  24. As long as shotguns were not involved id say theres nothing to worry about and they have had a fairly decent upbringing ?.......i dare not think back to what we was up to at 15 !
